This is an excellent restaurant in Toliara with outdoor Seating in the shade of big trees.
The menu is extensive with Indian dishes as well.
The food was very good and nicely presented. A great oasis in this rather big and dusty town
The service was very good and quick.

We came for seafood like lobster but there was none, so we ordered similar thing, the bay lobster. The grilled bay lobsters we ordered were so fresh delicious, although a bit too salty. The other dishes of shrimps were ok too, though not impressive.
The ambiance was so so.

Lovely Italian menu. Ordered a local fish filet with sautéed potatoes. Cooked perfectly and served with a lovely sauce – you get to choose the sauce you prefer. We sat outside where there were several expat regulars dining.. There is a small bar inside. We ordered South African wine by the glass. Solid cuisine and nice atmosphere.

we went there a group of colleague one sunday evening. We had spent the afternoon on the beach and had ordered "langouste" (lobster) for the dinner. Food was ready at the time we had asked..... but it wasn't exceptional. Lobsters were dry and portions size was not great.

The food at Marceline is really so delicious that you can not expect in such area. Between local and european recipes. The best Surfing place for amateur is just in front of Marceline. The waves are high but gentle enough to allow kids Surfing safely.

Jardin e terasse en plain air
You are in for a unique dining experience at Le Jardin where you are surrounded by plants and Malagasy paintings. The paintings by local artists are for sale; Bursting with colour they jostle for attention on every available wall space and across ceilings; Playful lemurs line the walls to the washrooms and cavort around the doors.
Travelling with a group our meal had been ordered in advance and after Seating we were rewarded with a seafood extravaganza beginning with starters of various seafood carpaccio culminating with a magnificent baked fish. Barely a centimetre to spare after our dining experience, we were also offered desert washed down with a Madagasy shot of rhum.
Every course had more than generous servings. Each dish was beautifully prepared. The wait staff were friendly and efficient.
At the entrance to the restaurant display cases tempted with delicious French pastries and croissants.
If you visit Morondava, treat yourself to a meal at Le Jardin de Giancarlo.

In the real world, in a small city where there would be competition, 'Le Dauphin' would drop a star. That said, the food is prepared in a basic way (uninspiring) but comes hot and fresh. I always order the fish which is generally fresh (but do ask to see it and smell it before you order). The size of servings are on a European side and, as an America, I go away wanting a bit more. The service was good and the price was very fair for what you get. I will go back ...

We went to this restoraunt for breakfast, lunch and dinner during three days and everytime we had to wait very long time till waiter took our order or brought it. Often they forgot to bring something or include to the bill the item we didn't order. Despite on this, the dishes were tasty.
