Are you looking for a restaurant that only serves the tastiest local and international produce? With an unparalleled wine cellar maintained by maitre-sommelier Sam Schelfaut? Amidst a collection of paintings which is the envy of many a museum? A lunch or dinner at De Zwaan in Etten-Leur is always an amazing experience. Enjoy the charming atmosphere while chef Carlo Chantrel serves up his culinary fantasies. Your host, Roland Peijnenburg, will gladly tell you more about the collection of paintings bequathed to him by his grandfather - Opa Koek. But even if you have less time, don't hesitate to pay the seventeenth-century gabled house in the market square of Etten-Leur a visit. In house you will also find Bib Gourmand awarded bistro Het Lelijke Eendje (The Ugly Duckling).
The location of this one Michellin star restaurant is perfect. Charming historic building on the main village square. Great Terrace for el fersco dining. The interior is wonderfull also, especially if you like art, as the art collection is amazing! Ask the owner to explain some paintings, he is a very entertaining and knowledgable guy.
The food and wine were excellent also. Creative paintings on your plate, with nice wine pairings.
The service is realy perfect. Very kind and attentive people and they create an excellent atmosphere. Price level is around €100-125) each person. Absolutely worthwhile

Last week 3 of us had dinner at Lo Stivale since more that a year ago and we were surprised at the quality and taste of the food. Can not say this is a garantee for the future but all we had to eat was of very good taste and quality. We hope they will continue this as it really was a complete change to the previous time when the food was good but not special.

Grown up living next to a family from Indonesia always cooking as if guests could arrive, no restaurant came close to 'buuv Willer' until i met Dani in his lovely cosy restaurant in the town of Vincent van Gogh. Have a go, here it is taste that counts. The taste of Indonesian food. (Note: not Indian food)

Very warm welcome in this Asian restaurant on the market square. We all of a sudden panned to go to the theatre two bolcks away and needed a close-by resaurant. Good prices and the surprise menu is also a kind of all-you-can eat, but than dishes come in a certain order. They focus a bit on meat, they told us, but as we wanted fish, they succeeded in offering us eight dishes. Sushi, white fish, shrimps, tempura and mussles. The sole was a bit simple and had nothing Asian to it.
Staff was attentive and especially at the start of the diner when the restaurant was still relatively empty) the dishes came at a relatively high speed. Near half past seven the pace got noticeable lower, but not the quality.
Don't mix it up with their sister restaurant a couple of doors behind which is an all you can eat. Here you have a decent place to sit and an excellent and attentive staff. We would like to step into this eatery another time when in Leur.

I have been here a couple of times. It can get crowded here and that influences the service heavily.
The good:
-Decent food for a decent price. Nothing spectacular.
-Good service when it is not that busy.
-Excellent location in the middel of Etten-Leur
The bad:
-Service level drops dramatically when it becomes crowded. Long waiting times and specific orders are not followed up (meat being cooked well done instead of rare, sauce on the side etc)
The ugly:
-Tables are real close to each other. Overhearing another tables conversation is not something I like durng my meal.

Every single dishes served from appetizers to desserts would certainly be a pleasant surprise to your tastebud. The food presentation were nice with creative combination ingredients. O&O is a restaurant with food-passionated personality. You may choose to enjoy your meal in the garden or indoor. Best meal we've ever had. Great thanks to O&O!

Bistro Het Lelijke Eendje is situated in a lovely historic gable house near the lively market place of Etten-Leur. Pure. Delicious. Quick. Enjoy!
Yesterday we went out for dinner with my sister and her husband. The restaurant they chose was yummie!
We went for the 3 course menu with some wine. The ingredients were well chosen and in great balance in order to create the perfect dishes. The decoration seems to be a strange mix between traditional and modern. It's not all that excellent. The waiter makes up for it though, he was very attentive and knowledgable.
We will be back :)

Nice place to sit at the shopping mall in Etten-Leur. Good cup of coffee and a nice lunch. Fresh and new looks, in and outside entrance.

The restaurant makes no claims to being a Michelin starred restaurant, but the steak I had was excellent and the recommended wine (a Primitivo) superb. Service was quick and friendly. The salad was tasty, just the fries a little underdone, but for about €25 all in with coffee I was more than satisfied!
