Small but nice decor restaurant. The Seating outside overlooking the lake is breathtaking. Service is friendly and excellent.
The menu offers typical regional dishes as well as modern and exotic creations for every taste. Creative and delicious dishes. We enjoyed every dish that was presented, from the amuse bouch to the desserts. The lemon tart was the best I had.
Chef Karim Schumann is seriously talented and creative. I raise hat for him and his wonderful team. He deserves one Michelin star and he should get it soon.

The restaurant philosophy is simple and straight forward: «fresh, uncomplicated and good». We use exclusively fresh products like cheese from the neighbouring alps, locally produced spirits and meats from local farmers. The menus offered depend on the season, our guests desire as well as the daily changing mood of your host and chef, making it clear: «we serve what we have». Please note that dinner is served in the restaurant from Wednesday to Saturday, lunch is served Sundays. Because the restaurant is rather small, table Reservations are essential. Room Reservations do not automatically include a table reservation.
Super concept, host, Daniel, comes to welcome you already at the parking area. First you are led into a specialty room where you can take your aperitif and enjoy some fresh specialties. If you're lucky it will be some dried venison or similar which come straight from the hunt in which Daniel does himself. After aperitif you are brought to your table and you enjoy an explosion of different tastes and a masterpiece of food! Not really a choice in the menu, Daniel will cook whatever is in season and fresh from the market. Absolutely special and very delicious!

The proprieters were so helpful and led us to a good wine and choice of food. The asparagus soup was fabulous and the steak and fish were very fresh and tasty - overall a great eating experience

We visited for lunch on a very hot day. To sit on a lakeside is always nice, but to eat overlooking Lake Lucerne is rather special with the Ferries coming into Beckenried right by the side of the restaurant.
The food was very good, I had a small salad plate from the buffet followed by Zander Knusperli with tartar sauce and boiled potatoes, it was delicious, although I think the salad buffet could have had more choice.
We had two meals with starters, a couple of beers and 1/2 litre of Fechey wine which came to around CHFr 115, which is not cheap but probably the going rate for this tourist area.
The service was good considering this was a very busy time.

Made a reservation some time ago, we were given a table right on the lake edge, which with a beautiful view of the Mountains and a great spot for sunset.
The waiting staff were excellent offering a 5 star experience, the food was stunning in looks and flavours. The surf and turf are recommended.
We had a late dinner but were determined to stay by the lake so "borrowed" a candle from a nearby table so we could see more of the food!
It was a short pleasant walk from our hotel. I think it would have been different if we had sat inside, which looked a little average.

We were fortunate enough to stay at this hotel for a night and had the best time! We were very impressed with the staff, the amenities, the premises, the food, and especially the pools. Quite a splurge for us, but so worth it to spoil ourselves since we were in heaven (with the best views, nonetheless).

We were touring Lake Lucerne by boat in the summer, and decided to disembark at Beckenried to have a look around. We were delighted that we stopped at the Christen Beck bakery shop, which has a little café area. It is very good value compared with the other cafés and restaurants in the village, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. I had a cheese flan which was fantastic.
There is a wide choice of sandwiches and other bakery goods, and they have a good range of drinks, including some nice homemade syrups.
The café is very clean and well-presented, as are its toilet facilities.
We would definitely make a beeline for Christen Beck next time we're in Beckenried.

Steakhouse with lake Terrace and beautiful view on lake Lucerne and the surrounding Mountains. Specialties: Char-grilled dry aged Swiss Angus Beef and US-Beef. Pizza from the golden wood oven.
Excellent place ... Just above the lucern lake (Vierwaldstättersee). Very friendly an helpful service. After it started raining, they reorganized tables and umbrellas, so it was still possible to sit at the lake-side.
Food has very good quality at a normal price-performance rate

The Café Rathaus does not offer menus. You can get what ever a Swiss bakery has to offer. They have a special tea card. We tried to drink us through all these different these teas but no chance, there are to many.
During the winter months they offer Sunday afternoon folks music with changing groups who come to play music. As the Café is rather small, it is recommended to be there before 2 pm to get a seat. The music ends at 5 pm.

We ate here for 7 nights as on a half board deal.
Even though it was a set 4 course menu for us, it was varied totally every night and every course of every meal was beautifully presented and was always excellent food.
We were always asked at the start if the menu was ok for us, and because my wife doesn't eat pork, it was no problem to substitute something else on the nights pork was served.
Service was always very good and friendly, particularly the female member of the team.
Most nights we ate outside on the little Terrace which was a bonus, but the interior is also very pleasant on the nights we ate there.
Drinks prices expensive for us Brits, and no free water.
Much better quality than your average 3 star hotel.
