My husband and I tried this place on a Saturday night. The decor is very nice, and the place has a great atmosphere. We started with an appetizer of mushrooms baked in beer dough. It was good and piping hot. For mains we both had Zuricher Schnitzel, which was topped with cooked tomatoes and onions and covered with baked mozzarella and sauces. The schnitzel itself wasn't very tender, but the flavor was very nice. Our meal also came with fries, salad, and homemade bread. The portions were huge.
This restaurant seemed very popular with the +50 crowd, and would be a great place for a birthday or family dinner. It has a separate room for big groups, which was in use the night we went. Perhaps that's why our service was slow. It was noticeably slow, although our waiter was still pleasant and we didn't really mind. The bill was only €42, including mains, beers, and the appetizer, which we thought was a nice value.
It would be great to go during the summer before sundown, to have a view of the lake.

The always proper and self renewing cousine of Frank Rosin is never boring, always exiting and full of very creative, but never too modernistic ideas. The wine list is accordingly, and the sommeliere gives great recommendations. When you are lucky, the Chef takes some time to sit at your table and discuss with you. Looking forward to go again ...

Average is the right word for this restaurant, if you would call it a restaurant. Interior is quite basic. The personel is okay, but could pay more attention and smile now and then. The food is okay but not for the price.

The Goldener Anker came recommended by numerous business associates in the area, and overall, this was a pleasant and enjoyable experience.
However, the town in which the Goldener Anker is located is hardly attractive, nor is the actual site of the restaurant, but once inside the décor is warm and well-designed, the staff are attentive, friendly and knowledgeable, and we quickly felt at ease welcoming our 1st dishes.
One of the guidelines we use to evaluate how good a given restaurant is how long afterwards we are still able to remember specific dishes or drinks due to their exceptional taste(s), textures and presentation. It's a bit disappointing, that the only thing that really stuck with us is the great taste of one of their cocktails called "Inge".
While all dishes were well put together and prepared, the strong sense we both came away with is that this cook and his team play it very safe. There was a lot of "good", but really nothing "exceptional", and we do expect that at this level of culinary skill. There are numerous other Michelin-starred and non-Michelin-starred competitors in the region that are simply more "daring" and able to excite our senses more.
The bill came to just under 200€ for 2, and that included wines. In light of the overall experience this was a fair value for money, but as with many other such experiences we would rather pay more to also get more of a "wow" experience.

I went to this place about a week ago and i can definitely recommend it. We ordered an appetizer, pizzas and desert and every dish just tasted very good.
Some reviews mentioned the longer waiting time; we experienced that as well. However, I am ok with it since the food was really fresh and the place was busy at that time.
Although it was very crowded, the service was great!
Try the desert with quark and fruits!
