Restaurant Wambinge is named after the oldest village on Texel. Characteristic is the warm atmosphere and the fantastic location by the water. Here you definitely taste the heart of authenticity. The power of simplicity reflects in the tasty dishes. Restaurant Wambinge is based on the classic French kitchen whereby the products from Texel reign supreme. Naturally we let the seasons play a role in the dishes we serve. You can enjoy 3 to 7 course menus or you can make your own choice from our often-varying, seasonal menu. Whatever your wish, we will cater for a pleasant, culinary evening. From an intimate dinner for two to an extensive family dinner or buffet.
Trying to get a last minute restaurant table brought is here. It is a hotel restaurant so we had some Reservations when we went there. We where quite surprisedby the quality. Not only the food but also the service by the staff. Portion size are more then reasonable. If you are around, try to go here for diner.

Visited this restaurant with my wife and both had excellent dishes. I had a mixed fish dish and she had cod. We both had salad and chips. The fish was fresh and tasty although in my case if your weren't prepared to separate the meat from the bones choose another dish from their fish/seafood menu.

We asked the waiter for a recommendation to which he said we should definitely order the lamb as it is "a Texel special that cannot be ordered elsewhere"... The lamb tasted as if it had been frozen and reheated.
The French onion soup was definitely out of a package.
The fried Camembert was definitely also from a frozen pack at Jumbo. It is so easy to make and yet this "self-declared great restaurant" couldn't even do that simple task.
The waiter was awkward and suggested strange dishes. He should probably try to eat some of his recommended dishes.
All very disappointing. Waste of money.

Nice restaurant, ideal for families and parties.Has an excellent and really creative kitchen
We had dinner here with two families. The food was very tasteful and fresh. They work with local product which are off great taste. For the beer lovers there is a great list of different beers. For the kids they have a very big playground for kids where they can play and where you still can keep an eye on them.

We came across this place after we'd eaten but we were welcomed in to have a drink in the bar area. Sitting in comfy armchairs in front of a lovely old style hearth, admiring the stylish decor and enjoying excllent wine and a Texel's beer cheered us up after a bad experience in a different restaurant. Next time we will eat here!

Restaurant Sjans from the outside seems an average cafeteria restaurant but it is far more than that. The variety on the menu is not that large but presentation and taste of the food is excellent. We enjoyed the lamb shank, the American ribeye and a vegetarian salad and had a wonderful ice-cream as dessert. This restaurant deserves the Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence and it's 2nd ranking on the list!

Beach pavilion Paal 17 is located right on the beach at Paal 17. This family restaurant is opened throughout the year and has a diverse menu. The restaurant serves fresh local and non local products of the season. Come down to the beach and enjoy your day, unwind, sunbath, party and dine at this beautiful pavilion.
No problem in booking a table for 12 persons in either of the two restaurant
that the Paal 17 is running. Reservations were correctly carried out and
the service rendered by the staff was excellent without fail.
Interesting to observe is that the kitchen is well managed because
almost all of us had a different choice of the menu but all were
served at the same time which is not always the case in other beach restaurants.

Had a dinner with the two of us. We have a lot of experience with Indian food, in Asia, Indi and Singapore, and it is clear that this restaurant is not serving true Indian dishes (if not for lack of ingredients, I assume), but the overall experience is very pleasant.
The Mulagatwani soup is nice, a bit spicy. The tikka jalfehrezi was spicy as well, and of good quality. The black lentils were tasty, but a bit different from what we remember from India.
Overall, we had a nice dinner, at an attractive price (30€ per person).

Cycled over to buy a take away while baby sitting our grand daughter. The staff here are very friendly and helpful, and the restaurant is bright, clean and spacious. The pizza I had was excellent (and survived the cycle home). The menu looked tempting for a return trip.
