Pica Mar Adentro doesn't look promising from the road, but once you are in there is a clean, modern restaurant, professionally-administered with quite good seafood. It's important to realize that the portions are really quite large and you should look for opportunities to share. The...MoreThanks for your opinion welcome back any time

I went there in early September I enjoyed very much the sea food I had. It was well prepared, excellent taste and well presented. Main dishes have fancy names so you need to request description. The service was also very good. I highly recommend it when you are visiting La Serena

After we checked in to our apartment at the Balcones de Pisco Elqui, I walked around the village to investigate the restaurants. Not many choices for dinner, but El Durmiente Elquino seemed to be the best choice. Indeed, we were not disappointed. Service is friendly and efficient. The washrooms are clean and well-appointed. It's not luxurious: the chairs are hard and the floor is gravel (which is typical for this part of Chile). Wonderfully-seasoned complimentary bread starts the memorable experience. We chose to start with the salad of quinoa, lettuce, hearts of palm, and Chile's finest ripe avocado. For our main, we chose the Salmon en papillotte, which is actually prepared in aluminum foil, but it is wonderful!! It's a flavourful concoction with onions and tomatoes. Ask for it "poco cocida" -- which means rare. It won't be truly rare, but the less cooked, the better. The papas salteados are great. Top it off with a fine Chilean cabernet sauvignon and it is among the finest dinners in the world. Our waiter, Federico, was outstanding. He knows just enough English to help us with our very limited Spanish. Our dinner was so enjoyable that we returned two nights later for a repeat. Even though I had not done a TripAdvisor review yet, and we were just ordinary customers, we were treated like royalty. This is a first-class resto in a fascinating part of Chile.

Great seafood restaurant. They definitely don't skimp on the quantity of fish you get in each dish. Although there were a few ' lost in translation' moments the very helpful waiter produced a special gringo menu. Very pleasant experience and can definitely recommend.

We are not vegetarians, but got tipped on this restaurant with recent new French owners. The food was delicious and we got a starter on the house. It's not cheap, but really good.

We discovered the Jack Fish by following another excellent recommendation recommendations of the "Primera hacienda" owners (https://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g303674-d8132721-Reviews-Primera_Hacienda_Hotel_Boutique-La_Serena_Coquimbo_Region.html)
This a tiny place, 4-5 tables inside, 2 outside, and the first thing you discover is that the place is Rock'n'roll. The menu is based on famous rock/hard-rock bands, there's rock music on the TV and the staff are of the same material.
We got an amazing contact with the waiter(owner ?) and ended up by returning two more times.
I'll definitely recommend the Ceviche's which are famous
Wonderful time here !
Gracias amigo

The Sandwich was intense and huge. Okay, I have seen other big sandwiches here in Chile but most don't have a lot of flavour and the food tends to be a little bland and pedestrian at most establishments. Hold your horses though, this place was awesome. Good price, delicious Sandwich. Intensely huge. Jugo Natural piña was delicious too! Second best overall meal I have had in Chile and definitely by far the best Sandwich, relaxed atmosphere and great service. Gracias!

More than a distillery. Come taste our creole dishes at the Pisco Mistral Distillery restaurant. Taste a selection of the best Elqui Valley recipes, carefully prepared and presented. Our restau-rant features an array of dishes, ranging from the pastel the choclo to the typical cabrito nortino.
We drove up to Pisco Elqui yesterday to see if we would like to stay for a few days but opted to return to Vicuna. The visit provided us an opportunity to partake of lunch at Mistral, which for us was a shared Quinoa Salad. Very good service and a lovely salad but overall nothing exceptional. Probably best of the various restaurants in the town.

In general, the place is one of the two best options for hamburgers in town. Compared to Ciudad Capital, I'd say these hamburgers are look better and are more stable in quality. Great service, food arrives fast and tastes as good as it looks, which is great. There's not much other than burgers here, there are some veggie options, meat or chicken (haven't tried those). Dessert options are limited, as well as drinks and juices. The place looks well kept and clean, though it does feel more like a fast food place (get in, eat and leave) than Ciudad Capital (where the environment is more welcoming and homey), which is the obvious competitor. Like burgers, you can't go wrong with Burger Club.

We loved this place. It's actually an art studio/home/cafe. The owner is an amazingly creative artist/craftswoman and in addition to some wonderful food, offers many of her works for sale. She is bi-lingual in Spanish and English. We had dinner there twice out on the back balcony overlooking a gorgeous view.
The first night we had pasta and salad with homemade pesto sauce---yummy. The second night we had the 2nd specialty, fish. My partner had sunfish with vegetables and I had swordfish wit potatoes cooked Chilean style. We also had dessert, frozen papaya stuffed with homemade ice cream. Everything was tasty and good. The prices were quite reasonable too. Don't expect a huge menu and a big professional kitchen and staff. Go if you want a cool atmosphere, good eats and creative food choices.
