If you want to join the locals, particularly when a big football match is on the Television, and you don't mind roughing it a bit, then this is the place to be.

An absolutely fantastic tapas lunch. Huevos Rotos to die for Brilliant staff Great place to work, they are advertising for staff too.

We stopped here for lunch, and we liked the food and drinks. The prices are maybe slightly more expensive than the restaurants in the main towns, but the location sets it apart.
To be honest, all the restaurants along the small Promenade of this little village all looked good...we just chose this one as it was on the end of the line of restaurants and the quirky knitwear on the trees appealed to us!

I visited the restaurant with two Parisian friends for lunch on 11.07.17. We thought the fresh fish was well-cooked and presented. The Passion Fruit-Cream-Fig dessert was excellent.
I am surprised to read negative comments about the staff. The two women who looked after us could not have been more efficient. They were kindly and welcoming.
The Terrace overlooking the harbour is agreeable without being especially scenic but that said there is a view across the bay to Alcudia.

You must visit this restaurant if nearby, it overlooks the beautiful coastline in a stunning setting with white sails floating around you while you watch the sun go down. Staff are attentive and the food is good. Live music some nights. Reservation essential.

For the second night here I consulted TripAdvisor to decide on my eating place.
Upon my arrival the staff seemed disinterested but someone did eventually take notice of me.
My drink order was taken then I had a long, long wait before anyone returned.
This theme continued throughout.
The food was nice but very expensive considering the appalling service.
I would have had a second drink but no one bothered to ask.
To be fair they were busy but maybe there should be more staff.......?
A lovely location.

We ate a family meal here on our last day. It was all OK - kids crockettes / escalope & French Fries bog standard. Water €3 per litre. My husband had a fish salad which was lovely but €15, I had an entrecôte steak which...Moremuchas Gracias por su comentario y esperamos verles de nuevo. saludos.

Have visited Es Playa on several occasions now over July and August 2016, I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. The vegetable paella is exceptional and portions are huge. Others in our party had the seabass and salmon and pasta and all were beautifully presented and tasty. What stands out about this restaurant compared to others in the area is the service. The staff are attentive, warm and ready to offer advice on wine or food. Will definitely be returning.

The Beach has an uninterrupted view over the bay which makes for a romantic meal as the sun goes down. The food is good too, and the service attentive. It was a shame to have to leave . .

It’s one of the worst places existing in Mallorca. Everything there can be subject to criticism and railed at but the worst of all is the staff’s low level of education.
Apart from that, as usual, we were first asked whether or not we wanted an aperitif. The undersigned ordered a campari. He was served a glass full of ice with two or three drops of campari for which he was charged 3 euros. If that’s not a theft or a forgery then the concepts of such offences should need a deep revision.
Had I been alone there I shouldn’t have stayed any longer since, as it could be gathered from such a swindle, the people having an interest in the firm running the restaurant or the staff working there of both were not completely aboveboard.
The worst was however still to come. When the time to order the courses came we ordered paella for us all and to our astonishment the waiter told us that they were not making paella for us. Upon our asking for the reason why it was so he just repeated with very bad manners that we couldn’t order paella with no other explanation whatsoever, and then he disappeared. It must be pointed out that the stated dish was included in the menu and that we saw how it was served to other customers. Before such a condemnable behaviour on the part of the waiter I suggested that we should go somewhere else since there was no point in staying at a restaurant where we couldn’t choose freely among the dishes listed on the menu. Therefore, after a while, after the necessary time to finish the drinks served as aperitif had elapsed – what in my case didn’t last long for the reasons stated in the second paragraph of this review - and after having taken the necessary steps to make sure that we could have paella at another restaurant, we got up and went away. We were glad to have made such a decision inasmuch as on that day we could eventually eat very good and tasty paella, certainly better than that we could have eaten in that dismal place.
The restaurant subject matter of this review is not therefore a recommendable place at all to eat or drink and it has to be avoided by all means. Should this warning be disregarded one would run the risk of being badly treated by the unscrupulous people swarming the premises.
