A beautiful restaurant in an equally beautifully little town. Having been disappointed by our last Michelin experience (Dinner by Heston) we were hoping for something really good - thankfully we got great! The food is refined and sophisticated. For the most part the flavours were beautifully balanced. My wife and I both had a question regarding the lack of seasoning on one dish but otherwise we struggled to fault the food presented. The service was professional and knowledgeable. All in all a fabulous experience at a price that was reasonable.

We dined at this intimate restaurant. The Somellier was very helpful and not a bit pretentious. The wine selection was extensive with plenty of good value choices. The appetizer was fennel- based and tasty. For a main course my wife had a lamb shank and I had the beef. They were both excellent and the vegetable side dishes fresh and iseasonal The service was very efficient and unobtrusive.

A justifiably popular Middle Eastern restaurant in central Colmar. It was nearly full the Monday night I had dinner there, with a mixture of local clients and tourists. The food was excellent (I had the kofta, which was nicely seasoned and served with a saffron-like rice). Unusual selection of Lebanese wines on the menu; the owner recommended a red, which I found to be wonderfully tasty for the price (8 Euro for a pichet). Only drawback was that being so busy and with the only the owner serving, service was on the slow side.

Evidently Aux Trois Poissons tries hard to be an upscale restaurant. The premises are solemn and the service is formal and without visible commitment. The food however is just marvellous, so if it hadn´t been for the atmosphere the rating would have been a shining five.

I found Restaurant La Soi thanks to TripAdvisor and it definitely lived up to the great reviews. The restaurant is on a street that’s quite busy with passing tourists, however you’d almost walk past the restaurant if you didn’t know about it as it’s so daintily placed!
We ordered a tarte flambé each. Other tables were sharing one tarte flambé between two but we arrived hungry and wanted to try different ones. I went for the goats cheese and bacon one (called Chevre on the menu), while my mother went for bacon, Emmental cheese and mushrooms (called Forestiere/forest on the menu).
Oh my God, both were sooo good! The pastry has to be tasted to be believed. It was so light. The toppings were amazing too.
Definitely go here! I sent an email beforehand to make a reservation and I was glad I did as the place was so busy. English menus available and wine/beer (as well as usual soft drinks) served too.

This was our first meal during a five night stay in Colmar and was by far the best we had during our stay, in fact I can think of few better meals we have ever had. The 8 course tasting menu (85 euro) was fantastic value. I thought at first it may prove to be 'fish heavy' with four courses being fish dishes but with each course offering a new 'wow factor', we were not complaining. The service, wine suggestions, value, in fact every aspect was worthy of the Michelin star, in fact better than a number of 2* restaurants we have previously dined at. Fantastic all round - the only regret is that it is 500 miles from home!

We arrived at 1:00 pm for lunch (without reservation) and were seated immediately, but I would recommend making a recommendation, if possible. We had the menu du jour - terrine to start and berry tiramisu to finish. My husband had these delicious little pate patty things (apologies to the chef for the terrible description - they were delicious) and I had fish, rice, and vegetables. Our young son had breaded veal steak and potatoes. All of the food was wonderful and so affordable. It was 14 euro each for the three course menu. Service was friendly and efficient. We were extremely happy that we stumbled across this gem.

Our lunch was a delightful experience. The choice of the main dishes was deer or pork cheek. We had the cheek and it was delicious and very affordable. I would recommend this place to eat if you want something out of the ordinary.
