Cirencester (/ˈsaɪrənsɛstər/ ( listen), occasionally /ˈsɪstər/ ( listen); see below for more variations) is a market town in east Gloucestershire, England, 93 miles (150 km) west northwest of London. Cirencester lies on the River Churn, a tributary of the River Thames, and is the largest town in the Cotswold District. It is the home of the Royal Agricultural University, the oldest agricultural college in the English-speaking world, founded in 1840. The town's Corinium Museum is well known for its extensive Roman collection. The Roman name for the town was Corinium, which is thought to have been associated with the ancient British tribe of the Dobunni, having the same root word as the River Churn. The earliest known reference to the town was by Ptolemy in AD 150.

For a recommended better venue for pub grub booked the family for lunch. Being winter and weekday not much activity inside and out however a warm welcome and good attention with an attractive menu and pricing, Everyone was happy except me... my order got lost somewhere which meant I was just starting as family finished. My venison was well cooked but accompaniment rather crude on the plate however management was eager to apologise and reduced the final bill. The food and presentation was average.but not special, The service was good but there were few people to serve and the smell of gas or!! outside didn't help appetite to come. would we go again? Probably not but I might call in if passing.

In the historic Roman town Cirencester, the Indian Rasoi is the perfect place to experience a mixture of traditional and contemporary Indian food in a relaxed, friendly and warm environment. An utterly characteristic interior with a relaxed welcoming feel is complemented by a constant hum of conservation from happy customers and the bustle of well tuned out serving staff, darting from table to table chatting with customers and taking orders. At the Indian Rasoi we pride ourselves on being one of Cirencester's most exciting and exclusive restaurants.
Came here on a Sat night.
The restaurant was quite busy.
The service was very slow and when the food eventually turned up (after an hour) it was nothing special. After complaining about the service the waiter, who acknowledged the issue, knocked off £20.
Would not return though as the food wasn't anything to write home about!

Popped in for lunch and would recommend their two/three course special. The fish starter and salad was delicious; likewise the twice cooked shuffle. Don't be afraid to share; the salads are each unique to the dishes. mains of belly pork and venison burger were delightfully presented and extremely tasty. large portions all round mean that you won't go hungry. Courteous and efficient waiting staff

Having run Soushi as a full restaurant for the last 7 years, 2017 has brought with it some big changes. We are now predominantly a take away and catering business, providing a large selection of freshly made Japanese dishes to Cirencester and its surrounding villages and towns. We offer a Delivery service in the evenings and are available for private catering. There are a few seats in the bar on a first come first served basis for those who wish to sit in and eat.
Passing by Cirencester I decided based on reviews to try the sushi. Took some time and didn't live up to the reviews.

Nice Local Restaurant Serving Good Value Food In A Friendly Atmosphere.
Nothing against Pizza Express but if you want REAL Italian food, this is the place. Best lasagne I have tasted, staff friendly and all food freshly cooked and reasonably priced. Excellent menu including pizza. Why go to a restaurant chain when you can go here for the real McCoy?

I have enjoyed a number of fine lunches at the Falcon, with well-kept and favourably priced local ales. Yesterday was not one of them, and an embarrassment to my guests who came from afar.
Busy Sunday lunch service, usual good service, well-presented but poor quality food, derisory vegetable portion and the final insult, an overcharging error on bill.
Apologies only from mine host but unfortunately it only takes one highly disappointing experience to remind me that there are other establishments that are closer to home and trying harder.

Popular family run Cafe Bistro offering freshly cooked breakfast, lunches, scones, cakes, sandwiches and snacks. Situated in a secluded courtyard Mosaic has won awards for food and customer service. An ideal place to stop when visiting Cirencester.
I love going to cafe Mosaic for breakfast you are always guaranteed to get a great feed. I travel around the country for work. I’ve struggled to find better breakfast. The only difficulty is sometimes having to wait when their busy. Keep it up guys.

Lunch bar offering a wide range of hot and cold fast lunch options. Eat-in or take away
Visited here last week with a friend. We always like to try somewhere a bit different and somewhere independent when we go on our annual Christmas shopping trips. This place did not disappoint. The owner? was extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The food was freshly cooked, delicious and there was plenty of it. The smoothie I had was to die for!

Thames Head is excellent for friendly service, high-quality food and most unusually being able to mix a bar menu with a restaurant menu at any time

A very enjoyable three course lunch courtesy of a Travelzoo voucher. The dining areas are small, but in no way does it feel cramped. The service was excellent, attentive and very courteous, but never intrusive. The food was really very good, with good portion sizes. You certainly felt well-fed, but not over-full after the meal.
We will definitely be back when we have a special occasion to celebrate.
