Visit the charming Italian town of Cattolica during the annual Pink Night summer celebration, and you’ll be rewarded with lively concerts and glamorous parades. The rest of the year, you can enjoy beautiful golden beaches that span the Adriatic Sea. Once a resting place for traveling pilgrims, Cattolica was also a favorite spot of Lucien Bonaparte, younger brother of Napoleon.

Food is fresh and very tasty. Restaurant is in the pedestrianized area in Cattolica. In the evening hundreds of strollers pass by. However when sitting outside you can watch the crowd but planters provide good division and offer privacy. Service is excellent both efficient and friendly. I was in Cattolica with my husband for a UK Bank Holiday weekend. We stayed for 4 nights but ate in Gambero Rozzo twice. Normally we like to try different restaurants but we enjoyed our food so much we went again the following evening.

Having spent two weeks in Cattolica, we experienced the full range of fantastic dining Holiday has to offer. Varying from light midday lunches of seafood, pasta and pizza to prime steak dinners; we were impressed with the authentic, high quality taste at a reasonable price. The cocktails were delicious and presented beautifully, especially Mojito Fragola. Excellent service at any time, as staff were always extremely friendly, helpful and efficient.

We went to this family friendly restaurant after recommendations from my wife's relatives. We didn't have any real expectations since our previous dinner plans was ruined by a crying baby,
we went on holiday with our 1,5 year old son.
The service was excellent and the staff was polite even though our son was a bit grumpy.
We ordered seafood risotto which was really delicious. Did even make the little grumpy son happy, he almost cleaned half a portion by himself.
A nice dinner experience for the whole family.

Locale a gestione familiare con un giardino interno per l'estate non mancano mai sorriso disponibilita e voglia di fare...
This was the second stop on our November Cattolica trip. L'Anfora was recommended by the hotel reception where we were staying. Good impression from the outside and quite busy with couples and family groupes. After we had been brought to our table, it was only a couple of minutes and the restaurant manager was there to take our order. We had used the italian language as best we could and the manager spoke carefully and slowly so that we could understand his explanation of several items on the menu. The drinks came quickly and we were all set for a nice evening. It did also not take too long until my wife's meal arrived. Then we waited. Very unusual for Italy. And we waited while my wife's meal got cooler. Then my vegetables arrived. And we waited. After several minutes, my wife had started her meal, the manager, having noticed our predicament, sent a waiter over who explained that it would take some minutes before my lamb was ready. Here I gave him the vegetables and asked him to keep them warm. Some minutes later the whole meal arrived, my wife had already eaten half her meal and our evening was already destroyed. My wife's meal was a local pasta speciality: not tasty, with a strange consistency. My meal was now part cool, part burnt and partly missed flavour. We must have hit a bad night. It is also frustrating when you try your best to speak their language and the waiter (not the manager) insists on using his not much better, or even worse, English.

I just realised I never reviewed this place though it is one of my favourites in Italy. I have been going back year after year and it always gets better!
Relaxed ambiance, great interiors and extremely professional/friendly staff.
Food is delicious and well presented. Price really reasonable. My favourite dish is "Carpaccio di Ricciola".
Absolutely recommended.

Il Ristorante "Il Traghetto" è situato sul porto di Gabicce Mare al confine con Cattolica; il paese è un importante centro ittico marinaro che offre un ottimo pescato dell'Adriatico, vero punto di forza della cucina del Ristorante.
A small charming place near the habour in Gabicce Monte, where they serve only fish and shellfish dishes. Our waitress Nicole was a wonder of efficiency and yet very charming. The food was 100 % Italian, extremely tasty and plentiful. The suggested wine was a suitable choice and for such en excellent dinner the price was totally acceptable.

This is the epitome of "the best of the best" in seafood restaurants. Surprisingly, the prices are moderate considering the the quality, but to top that, the food is excellent as well. Interior space is vast, simply decorated with antique photographs of fishermen.
There is a long list of antipasti, but hold out for canocchie sgombri bolliti and pizza Bianca. the preparation is superb with my favourite, the cannelloni ripieni, thin crepes filled with fresh fish and seafood. My femme loved her frittura mista, fried mixed seafood done with delicacy and absolutely greaseless. We found the wines are well chosen and reasonably priced.
It will take a lot to top this experience.

Arrived in Cattolica on a Tuesday night having travelled all day by plane, bus, train and taxi. As we were very tired we decided that we would dine at the nearest restaurant to our hotel. This happened to be Ristorante Bar Rio. This excellent restaurant is family run.The staff were lovely, so friendly and efficient. The menu was excellent..... pizzas were to die for, excellent pasta dishes. Prices were very reasonable. As we went there every night for 2 weeks, a table was reserved for us each night even though it was very busy most nights.

We discovered this restaurant by accident and what a perl it turned out to be.! As we walked in the door of an already very busy eating place; wind-swept and hungry on that 30th December a little after 9pm, the Chef welcomed us heartily and begged us to wait a few minutes while he whipped off a table cloth on the last available table and in jiffy set it up for the three of us.
With one memeber of the party only eating fish the 'Patrone' did his utmost to satisfy our palates with some grilled sole, a delicous seafood pasta and some more grilled fish, prawns and very tender squid.
