In this pretty village of Maremma, when you are tired, bored or sad you can recover easily with its breathtaking sights. If you want to discover the wonder world of food in Tuscany or, simply, need to get in the right mood you have to stop at Tullio's. Traditional cuisine with a touch of magic. Very first prime cuts of meat dressed at their best fighting against capricious essences of Maremma help you to be happy for being alive (forget seafood, this not the place). Order your ppcp pasta and will touch heaven. Service is service as you wish. Wine list with local pretty first choices.

Back this year and the quality has not changed. Nice location (indoor and out) nice menù, very good wine selection. The food is not trattoria style, but revamped Tuscan recipes with a touch of creativity: nice result.

We visited the place twice. First time it was after quite a poor experience in other restaurant and we were rather pleased with what we got. The meals were good, service very nice, but we weren't blown away. During our second visit though everything seemed to go a bit downwards. The green salad had brown spots. The pasta was home made, however was of a good average but no special.

Simple, a bit bland but totally genuine. Salsiccia alla griglia particularly good. House red wine works well with the cooking. Cinghiale alle cacciatore, crostini, agnello alla grigilia all fine but no comparison to Guido at Magliano for example. We didn't try any of the pasta which we regreted as we saw it go by; we'd definitely go back to try the pasta. Service excellent and always there, very friendly, chatty a really pleasant lunch.

We stopped here for a dinner and everything was absolutely fabulous: we had homemade ravioli ricotta e spinaci with ragù di cinghiale, costicine with vegetables and crostata also homemade. Everything delicious! In summer thay have a fantastic Terrace outside with view to the sea. If you come to Capalbio that's your place!

This restaurant is located in a dreamy location with lots of flowers all around and right in the center of century old tower of Capalbio. The food is good and the service very attentive. Sit on the litle Terrace to have a nice view of sunset while enjoying your dinner. Definitely a place to bring your significant other if you can. After the meal you can climb up the front stairs to the old rampart to get a magnificent view of Tuscany countryside below if you lunch here.

We enjoyed our first taste of Italian food. The flavours were magnificent . The staff very friendly and patient with the language challenged! The menu had English translations which is necessary for us. The tables outside on a warm evening was a great spot for watching the world go by.

At fist sight it looked good - nice appearance, nice and friendly service. However, unfortunately the food didn't meet our expectations at all. Mashed potato cake and vegetables was over salted, the tortellini with ricotta and spinach and ragu was OK, but not special enough for us to come back. On positive side though, we didn't get charged for the salty potato mash.

We chose this place based on Trip Advisor rating. I must say, it was the first time when we remained disappointed.
The restaurant itself is kind of sad - tables are located almost in the parking lot, the benches are extremely uncomfortable and the whole Terrace, where the table are located lacks of any decoration effort.
There were three of us, we ordered the platter of tuscan ham and cheese and crostini as starters, two portions of grilled lamb cutlets and one pasta with summer truffel as second dishes.
The starters were ok - nothing in particular, but ingredients were fresh and tasty - which is more is a merit of the area, than the restaurant.
But the main disappointment of the evening came afterwards: the pasta was bland (which is extremely rare in the dishes in which truffel is involved), and the lamb cutlets... first of the portions were extremely tiny, which again, doesn't usually happen in local agricultural restaurants, and secondly some pieces of lamb were not actually cutlets, but some other parts of the animal. And the portion of grilled vegetables side was extremely tiny as well.
Overall, I don't recommend this place - it is a pity to be dining in such a banal place , when you can have an amazingly tasty meal almost in every trattoria in the area, while enjoying a beautiful Tuscan landscape instead of parked cars.
The only positive aspect was the price - the restaurant is not expensive at all. But in my opinion, it is not enough a reason to spend your time there.
