There’s a touch of quality about everything at Centanove and it’s probably a cut above most other restaurants around Kew, particularly if you’re looking for something a little more elegant for that special night out. Service is first class, the wine list is varied and the food, including the yummy bread, absolutely fresh.

Called in late without a booking but as always was made to feel most welcome. Unbelievable wine list all prices and choices. Superb peking duck and roast duck with perfectly cooked steamed rice. Faultless friendly service. Highly recommend this oldie but goodie

Freshness, brightness, vigour – this is what has been injected into Burke Road’s well known Italy 1 Camberwell - with a little bit of the old. Now owned by two very energetic and enthusiastic owners, one being the previous head chef, Italy 1 Camberwell has been reborn into a modern Italian café with the freshest seasonal produce. Offering simple, well executed food with strong flavours and distinct personality in an uncomplicated and relaxed atmosphere. Let our friendly, attentive staff tend to your needs while the kitchen whisks your tastebuds on a flavoursome journey of Italian inspired creations.
The menu selections are excellent, particularly their risottos, whether it be mushroom or the seafood variety using flu swimmer crab. Cannot you praise the calamari to highly, it is a beautiful concoction. I have always enjoyed the freshness of the food in this restaurant it is delightful succulent and always quality. My wife particularly enjoyed the Kris Pinot Grigio - clean and crisp, great for a hot day. Waiter service is excellent very attentive, supportive and personable. We particularly congratulate Keaton for his service he did a great job today we dined. All in all, we both praise this restaurant it is a great place to go and enjoy a first-class meal. Thoroughly recommended to anyone, as described above and you will enjoy the experience. It is somewhat expensive, but it is fine dining after all, and it is worth paying that little extra for great quality and great surroundings.

Very good, well established Italian restaurant opposite the Rivoli cinema. Wonderful art deco décor. Somewhat limited menu (a good thing) plus specials. Well-priced, very good home cooking along with straightforward service. The special of the day, pan-fried snapper, was delicious. Recommended for very good food and service.

The Grand has been voted on numerous occasions the Best Pub Dining Room in Australia. It is also currently the Only Pub in Australia to have been awarded a coveted Age Good Food Guide Chefs Hat (12 times). Long being regarded as an Institution of The Melbourne Dining scene it's combination of Fine dining Italian Restaurant, casual fun Pub bar, cracking beer garden and beautiful new private dining rooms brings a uniquely Melbourne offering for both travelers and locals alike.
I thought overall it was a nice experience-reasonably good atmosphere for couples and smaller groups. The service was attentive.
I would describe the menu as a mixture of traditional Italian dishes with dishes that aimed to introduce a bit of a modern Australian twist. Both entrees we ordered were seafood. I found the scallops a bit overcooked. This was a shame as they suppose to be the star of the dish. The second entree dish was sashimi-like swordfish carpaccio. That entree was much more enjoyable & technically better executed.
For the first main, we ordered a pasta (rabbit) that was typically a Northern Italian dish. The pasta was cooked perfectly. It had the traditional taste & presentation. The second main was the duck cooked in a traditional Italian way. The simple presentation reminded of a home cooking. The taste of the duck and the souse were great, but as a whole, the dish was lacking in presentation. A half duck floating in a dark colored liquid? Would look good in a trattoria ... so is it? Judging by the prices it’s not!
The desert (the peach) on the other hand - had a great presentation, but failed to impress with its the combination of flavours. Too much was going on on the plate and some of the elements didn’t make much sense. I think that some of the traditional Italian Deserts would match the Grand’s menu much better.
An extensive wine list including good international wines but ONLY if you buy by bottle. However, very little choice - if ordered by glass.
Overall, good but not great. Definitely overpriced for what it is and not a good value for money.

Had our Beef and Burgundy club dinner there last night. Food and service were top notch. All food we had was inventive and well thought out. The Duck was especially good served with lovelly orange salad. Wil certainly be back and highly recommend. Pleasant space fairly small restaurant which is nice.

Excellent wood fired pizza and a finalist in Melbourne's best pizza competition, 2012.
As luck would have it, our usual Italian go-to was closed. My sons chose Il Birrificio because of the craft beer, which was part of the pleasure for sure. But we also loved the food. The mozzarella stick was awesome for starters. The size of the meals was generous. Those who had pizzas were happy and I loved my calimari. Salads were as fresh as can be.
