Caluire less than 10 minutes from the center of Lyon, near the banks of the Saone, Fond Rose is nestled in a beautiful garden hidden at the end of a quiet dead end. In this mansion of the 20s, completely renovated, light enters from all sides and trim in brown and red shades, bring a warm touch. The place is ideal for special occasions: in love, family, friends or colleagues, people come to celebrate a happy occasion: a birthday, a nice contract, reunion ... Moments Loic Jaquand, manager of the establishment and his team will work to make it more festive! Outside, the Terrace lolls to be able to accommodate 160 people on sunny days. The Restaurant Fond Rose accepts meal vouchers. The brigade of chef Olivier Bourrat implements its talent to serve you Quenelle Mousseline de Brochet au Coulis d'Ecrevisses, Poelee d'Escargots de Bourgogne Filet de Cabillaud Roti en croute de Noisette, Poulet de Bresse a la Creme et aux Morilles, Cote de Cochon Fermiere du Cantal Rotie en Cocotte... The restaurant Fond Rose offers a service for receiving groups.
The french touch of Chef Paul Bocuse?? why? Just because we had the chance to have dinner in this amazing place... better than Est Ouest Sud and Nord... this restaurant is typycally the french Brasserie with "je ne sais quoi" that sounds so French. the service is just Enormous.

No surprises , but Tradition took to perfection. The service was second to none . It is a pilgrimage to the temple of the pope of French cuisine , I recommend to any food aficionados .

Service was good and the atmosphere of the restaurant was lovely. Waiting time was not long before we had our orders taken and were served.
Dishes were beautifully presented, that much I will say. However the was disappointed by the lack of originality of the dishes on offer, and found the beef tataki too salty while the sardines were tasteless. The quantity was also on the "light" side so it was a meal of 50% bread. For the price paid, it wasn't really good value for money.
Having eaten in many gastronomic restaurants this one was okay but truly nothing stellar.

This typical lyonnaise restaurant makes you „think“ when you read the menu at first. There are many cuts of meat or offal on the menu you would not naturally go for at first sight. Take my advice and be bold! Go for it and expect to be truly surprised! Just about everything I ate was to the point, super tasty and delicious. Don‘t be taken back by some of the service personelle either. It seems to be „cool“ here to be a bit „offish“. I know this from Cologne where I was born. It‘s about attitude, style but also humor. Relax, laugh and enjoy this place. It‘s truly „real“!

My girlfriend and myself came here on our last night in Lyon. Christoph was extremely nice and gave us great information about where to go on our backpacking adventure. His food was delicious and the wine selection was even better. This is a must go in Lyon.

I really can't say enough about our experience. From the food to the service, from start to finish it was a fabulous experience. I'm not going to go into each item we had but I will say that every time they place a new item on our table my wife and I would just look at it first to appreciate the creativity. This is a must for anyone who knows food.

My husband and I had a wonderful dinner, and local wine, here, this evening, while celebrating our 42nd wedding anniversary. The food was absolutely delicious, beautifully presented, and oh so French! The staff was very friendly and gracious. The owner even translated the entire menu for us, since our French is very limited. The decor, and the story behind it, are worth a visit alone. However, the cuisine and service will remain in your fond memories, of France, forever.
Do not miss it!

A little restaurant for the lunch, with local food and wine. Burgers, salads, home made sweets, home made food for a good moment in a cosy place.

Wondering how to spend a privileged moment with the ones you love? Search no more, here is your home.
Low key, indistinguishable from the outside, if you don't know it is there, you won't see it.
And the kitchen is all about that: subtile, delicate and unpretentious, even playful.
Service is net, Sommelier full of respect for the kitchen and Maître d'hôtel doing everything for you to have the moment you expect.
3 Amuse bouche to start the meal, first one being an unforgettable sardine.
Chef Roure is surprising, mixing textures and flavors on his own harmony. Each ingredient hold is own power, you feel them individually or mix them infinitely.
5 dishes meal with wine arrangement is the only option you want to make.
I hope there were a 10 dishes options and we can sit and eat for hours, feeling and enjoying every bite of a single gastronomical experience!
Thanking you for an everlasting moment.

My wife and I called in and made a reservation for dinner last Friday evening whilst we were in Lyon for a long weekend. The fact that on arrival we were greeted by name and the usual Gallic kiss got us off to a flying start. We would advise ringing or calling in as many people were turned away, the place was full to the rafters when we finished. This is quite simply a meat eaters paradise with cuts that we are all familiar with up to those we may have only read about. The chefs sharing platter as a starter would on some days be enough for a meal. My wife chose the onglet and I had a "coeur de sirloin", both were up there amongst the best flavoured and cooked meat we have ever had. Perhaps, just the tiniest of disappointments, the accompaniment was macaroni cheese. Now there are only two things I just cannot eat that is one and the other is banana. Luckily macaroni cheese is my wife's favourite, so she was in double heaven. Pot de vin rouge very good. We would go out of our way to eat here again.
