Although Indonesia is largely Muslim and Bali a Hindu enclave, the UNESCO World Heritage site of Borobudur -- actually located on the neighboring island of Java – is one of the most fascinating Buddhist stupas and temple complexes in the world. Organized tours via air can be booked with Balinese tour operators.

I have mixed feeling about this restaurant. The restaurant has very nice decorations and landscape, with a tiny pavilion and pond. But it is definitely a tourist targeted restaurant. The food is ok, definitely adjusted to suit foreigners' appetite. But I would rather have something more authentic and local. The price is higher than local restaurant but I think the atmosphere and service deserves that. But that the price of food is expensive, it is still very cheap in western standard.

Welcome to Paksi..Paksi is Coffee House that serve not only coffee from different area of Indonesia, also food and other drinks.. Try our Fresh fruit juice.. Cozy and clean place..
We have visited this place during our wo days stay in Borobudur and we have got a fantastic surprise...you can really sample the local traditional food, cooked there by the hostess Maya. ..there is no other choice but to eat the plat du jour...but do not worry, it will certaibly be up of your expectations!

We had an opportunity to have lunch at this restaurant and ordered Samosas, Tuna fish Sandwich, Chicken soup with steamed rice and Lamb satay. Samosas were good except that they brought it smeared with some sweet sauce that was not particularly liked. Lamb satay was good and crispy. Tuna fish Sandwich was a disaster as the filling had too much mayonnaise and was oozing out. Chicken soup was average. Service was a bit lazy even though the restaurant was only 20% full. Ambiance was however good. Overall, I would rate it as a restaurant with average food.

Staying here will set you back an arm and a leg, somewhere between $3000-6000 per night. However it is an amazing setting for a breakfast after sunrise tour at Borobudur. Only 15-20mins from temple. Cost of breakfast is $30AUD pricy but why not occasionally

Our restaurant as well as having an unparalel view of one of the wonders of the world has world class elegantly sublime cuisine. Nowhere can boast these two attributes which together create a more than memorable dinning experience. The restaurant with more than a wonderful view is an ultimate and awesome experience in dinning. The Stupa restaurant at magical Plataran Borobudur in Central Java - Indonesia.
We ate here during our stay at the associated hotel. There were some really standout dishes, the duck with green curry was a distinct winner, the tuna as an entrée was beautifully presented and the mushrooms and dates, were such an interesting combination. The waiting staff were really friendly and offered exceptional service.

Now ready to welcome you and all your clients for breakfast, lunch & dinner. Stupa Restaurant has a real stunning menoreh hills view and offering a great selection of homey Indonesian foods served in a traditional Joglo that will pamper your taste and delights your eyes.
Very delicious food and ood service in a comfortable and welcoming athmosphere. The Stupa offers primarily local Indonesian food. Portions are very large and the presentations of the food and the quality are outstanding. A very good place to go when you are in Borobudur.

We were a group of our family from California and Australia staying 6 days at Amata Borobudur resort occupying 5 Bungalows at the Amata Borobudur resort. Initially we ordered our dinner from the restaurant menu. After a few evening we asked if the restaurant can provide us with any special gourmet food that is not listed in the menu. We were delighted to enjoy our special dining experience with fine gourmet local dishes prepared especially for us. We were all happy and enjoyed our holiday at Amata Borobudur resort :-)

4 star Great little coffee shop hidden behind the art gallery. A cosy bamboo decking area surrounded by fields. Well worth a trip to chill out after a day wondering around Borobudur. #Craig Middleton
Day trip from Bali to Java to see Borobudur and other temples. Read about Alea Cafe on Trip Advisor.
It's amazing. The view looks out onto the back where there is a Ricefield it is so beautifully decorated and simple. The food is just amazing and the coffee and other drinks are such a delight. The price is right and the service is exceptional.

I got reference about this restaurant through browsing. It was famous for udang galah bakar madu or honey grilled prawn, oseng kangkung/genjer ( stir fried nails prone/water spinach), grilled Nila fish and also the gurame fish soup.
We loved the grilled prawn and stir fried vegetable. The grilled fish should be very nice too but the fish were too small, so we could not enjoy it more.
The fish soup is OK, but too many herb for me.
Unfortunately, we arrived at around 7 pm, the surrounding were so dark, so we could not enjoy the scenery and we are the only one who had dinner at that time.
