The wait is certainly long but worth it!!
Sit back relax and enjoy the atmosphere and free wifi.
Fish and chips is amazing!! Fries with the dressing and Gravy were delicious.
I love the meat pizza also from here. Ask for a thin crust you won't regret it.

located just before the Cape Bonavista Lighthouse. More than a dairybar, there is a small restaurant attached, which serves Canadian style food.
The owner of the hotel we stayed at recommended this restaurant on the way to the lighthouse. Lots of locals and tourists eating there. Food was very good along with the service. We dined inside as it was raining but the location is right on the ocean. Take-out window for ice cream. Servings were large. Well priced.

My fiance and I stopped by here for lunch one day.We had the special, fish cakes and raisin bread. The food was very good, we both enjoyed it. The service was fast and friendly. The building is an interesting place to turn into a restaurant, quaint, clean and spacious.

Open June-Oct. Ideally located on the main street of Bonavista across from the Post Office and a 30 second walk to MIFFLIN'S HERITAGE INN & the Garrick Theatre. This tastefully decorated, handicap accessible tea room is a full fledged restaurant, part of a 1906 historic home featuring Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Menus, some traditional Nfld. food, lots of homemade desserts, an outdoor patio and fully licensed. Come join us for 3 squares a day in a true family setting with a relaxed atmosphere and great home cooking.
This was a great evening. Our biggest disappointment was that they were sold out of Jigs Dinner and their Mussels. What we did have was delicious. The owners (staff) are a very friendly bunch and before we left the restaurant, everyone in the place was talking to each other. All in all, this was a highlight of our trip so far.

Experience a time when dining was not hurried. At Susie's Cafe you will enjoy dining in a rural setting unlike any other. Dine in a converted 1940's family home with little change in anything. Have your meal inside or outside on our veranda while enjoying the view of beautiful Blackhead Bay.While enjoying your meal, you may be lucky enough to see whales, icebergs and wild seabirds of many kinds.
We were driving to Bonavista and stopped at the Bonavista Social Club only to find it only open Wed. to Sun. off-season. We ventured on and spotted Susie's. What fun we had in this tiny restaurant at the side of the road. Food was good-great clam chowder full of clams, good portion of pan fried cod and delicious fish cakes. The ladies serving were chatty with great senses of humour-it was like eating at an aunts home.

We went for Sunday lunch and it was awesome! We were staying next door but one so it was the obvious place to go and we were not disappointed. Staff were busy but made time to chat. Food was fabulous. View stunning. All boxes ticked twice over!

Skipper's Restaurant serves up a broad menu of homemade, delicious meals. We serve Atlantic crab, local lobster, salmon, mussels (all when in season) Atlantic Cod, cod tongues, scallops, shrimp- just to name a few seafood options, as well as grilled chicken, pork ribs, spaghetti and meatballs, 7 oz. burgers, sandwiches, fresh soups and salads, homemade desserts, etc. Everything is homemade and prepared on site in our kitchen. Skipper's is also located directly on the water, so we offer the most amazing views of the harbour. Watch fishermen come in with their daily catch, see icebergs glisten under the summer sun and watch whales spout as they frolic in the cool Atlantic waters. Why not make Skipper's a must-see stop on your next trip to Bonavista!
While in Bonavista for a get away weekend we decided to try this restaurant. It didn't disappoint. We were greeted on entry and seated almost immediately. Our server was familiar with restaurant and gave good suggestions. My husband had fish cakes and beer; I had a mandarin, cranberry salad. Both meals were quite tasty. We would return.

Loved the food here! Relaxed and authentic restaurant where the locals go. I went there 3 times and each time the food was great. Homemade banana muffin, partridgeberry muffin, very good coffee, delicious pea soup with an interesting mix of potatoes and salt pork or beef. My son loved the club sandwiches. For a quick lunch or a snack, this was my favourite restaurant in Bonavista. It's not as cheap as a Tim Horton's meal, but it's better.

we stayed nearby and were so happy to eat here one night. super casual and real home cooking. we talked to the staff and they have been cooking there for several years even though management has recently changed. we had a fantastic seafood chowder that was well-seasoned, loaded with seafood and, thankfully, not gloppy. most of us then had the pan fried cod with scrunchions - everything executed just right. they had homemade pies and desserts and on the way out, the chef gave me the recipe for her chowder. it was one of our best stops on the Bonavista peninsula.

Sweet Rock makes all of its ice cream, gelato, sorbet and other frozen desserts fresh and on site from local ingredients wherever possible. New flavours are created each day along with house made waffle cones and chocolates from our sister company, Aunt Sarah's Chocolate Shop. Located in historic and picturesque Bonavista, it is a must stop for any ice cream or chocolate enthusiast!
I love ice cream! This place beat my previous favorite ice cream (Akumal , Mexico, Mango Ice Cream at Lucy's). I ordered the Partridge Berry Cheese Cake, Wow! Creamiest, most delicious! My husband had the Blueberry, it was also very good. Must visit if in Bonaventure!
