You'll find some good, typical Catalan food in a traditional restaurant. Not expensive and very good for the buck. It's traditional so don't expect any fireworks bursting out of mamma's meatballs! Location is really nice too, in the old city center, beside the village's principal square. Maybe you'll be fortunate to see the market or some "sardanes", the traditional Catalan dance. Hanging on the wall of the main dinning room there are some signed photographs of professional cyclists and marathonmen born in the village of Banyoles, wish there were more!

Very surprised to see that the daily set menu that all restaurants offer in Spain at lunchtimes was also available in the evening. And it was absolutely delicious, generous portions, even included the wine, which is something not everywhere does any more. Very few people were there, I imagine they are struggling in these difficult times, but perhaps the new deco isn't quite what the locals want? (or the few tourists that find the place) - it's all a bit sterile. I remember this place being packed, maybe we just went on an odd evening, hopefully things will get better soon!

Really good find. Small restaurant with great inexpensive food. I had the goats cheese fill tart which was delicious. The curry was also amazing- not your usual curry- a little different. There is a charming garden at the rear. The wine is reasonably priced too. Going back tonight .

Caters to truck drivers and farmers' families, mainly. So servings are very aboundant, and prices are reasonable. Food is traditional cooking and quite average quality. Decor and service below average.

If you want a nice restaurant with a beautiful view of the lake, don't miss this place. The food was good and the service was friendly. You can eat outdoors and you won't get a better lakeside situation. Big free car parking to the side is a bonus.

My husband and I, along with our son, his wife and two small children ate on the restaurant's attractive Terrace twice last week. What a lovely view and pleasant restaurant. The food is very good and extremely reasonable. The wait staff is attentive and friendly.

I came here with my boyfriend and parents, we wanted a nice restaurant and while we love tapas fancied something different. This fit the bill perfectly. The service was attentive and the food... Oh the food. The Nebraska steak was melt in the mouth, done to perfection. My mum had the cod and my dad had the pasta special. Both loved their meals. We all had a dessert, the truffles were delicious but the winner was the while chocolate mouse. Very light and full of flavour. We shared a bottle of red wine, had a bottle of water and a g&t and the bill came to 126. We also shared a plate of Jamon to start. We were stuffed and I think that for the quality of the food for just over 30 a head is incredible. Highly recommend you come here

We were recommended this restaurant by the lady who owned our holiday apartment. We were not disappointed. It's just off the main square and it's a lovely old building. Everything we had to eat and drink was excellent, as was the service. Recommended.

We were greeted personally by the chef as we arrived and shown to our table. Everyone was warm and welcoming. The wine selections were perfect. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. My 12 year old twin daughters found the presentations special and were delighted...MoreDear Doksands, Thank you for such a wonderful review.
