...somehow in the back of a corner in Kelkheim, this cozy place really surprises dish by dish... They have just astounding Italian flavours in every dish, a lunch menu of ridiculous 10 Euro with 3 dishes, super freshly made bread with butter...I mean, really WOW.WOW.WOW. The pumpkin soup, the lasagna like pasta with spinach and cream, and the apple tart at the end were just delicious. The fact that they have different gelato desserts (also during the winter) makes the place even better. There is also a "surprise menu", but many different dishes like octopus (at reasonable prices, but even if it was more expensive...it would be worth it...)...that I will definitely try next time.
The atmosphere is rather classic but simple, service extremely nice. Definitely worth the detour from Frankfurt city!

We went to this restaurant as it was chosen by my brother who knows the owner of the restaurant very well. So I am not sure if the service and all around it is experienced by other guests the same way. Reading through some of...MoreThank you very much for being our guests. And thank you for your compliments. That makes us proud. Kind regards Miro

For a break in our dining plans, we visited this Greek restaurant after a local referred us. The food was delicious and the service was pretty good except for forgetting one of our entrees that came finally after everyone else was done eating. Located in a really peaceful part of town.

Bad Soden's only real beer garden style establishment. I have visited Eberhards plenty of times over the past three years, either for themed afternoons (Oktoberfest, Easter walk, watching football), business team building events or simply spontaneously with friends and family. It is a lovingly converted barn run by Conny in memory of her father Eberhard. Food is delicious, home cooked, freshly prepared, hearty German fare served with cool beer, Apfelwein or Schnapps, but get there early on sunny days and bank holidays as she may have run out of food by late afternoon. Sit on beer benches and wooden tables dotted around the grounds. The location is rugged and remote up amongst the apple plantations above Bad Soden well away from traffic. Cycle or walk as there is no vehicular access. It is a haven for families (the children can watch the on-site sheep, play in the sand pit, kick a ball about, cycle the adjoining cycle path or simply roam the adjacent fields), dog walkers and cyclists. Highly recommended.

I attended a business dinner here at the former house of the composer Felix Mendelsohn. The staff was very pleasant and attentive. we had some starters and I took the monkfish for main course. I was not disapointed, either by the high quality of the fish and the way it was prepared. High marks for that and for sure a nice place for getting fish in the area.

The atmosphere is really nice, the drinks are good. The food is ok, but the service is good and friendly. If you are looking for a nice relaxing restaurant in Bad Soden, than Gustav's is a good option.

I visited here during my recent trip, I was a bit worried based on the rating of the place but my colleague had recommended it. I love thai food so had high expectations, this place did not fail to deliver. The food was tasty, the service was quick and the price was extremely good. We had two starters, two mains, 1 glass of wine and 1 large lemonade for under 30 Euro. You really can't go wrong for that price and the flavor of the food. The portion sizes were very large, we couldn't finish ours and they asked if we wanted it tubing up.

I can't believe the disconnect to what other reviewers wrote. The place is cozy and fine to have a beer but their food is beyond bad. All of their ingredients must be convenience products, meat used is frozen and sides have been reheated several times. Allegedly the owner is a trained butcher, if that is true he should be ashamed of his professional standards.

Original Italian - enjoy the sun on our outdoor seats with steaks, pizza, pasta, fish, fresh juices and cocktails. Italian feeling in the heart of Bad Soden.
We were in Bad Soden and were looking for a nice dinner with my wife and found Gran Sasso from trip advisor. Gran Sasso serves traditional Italian food with welcoming approach of personnel and fast serving. We tasted pizza with ham and spinach Tortellini with two glasses of their recommended Italian wine and they were all great.. We finished with Panna Cotta and I can not recommend it as it was too ordinary.
