One of three restaurants open on Christmas Eve in Bad Krozingen. Relaxed atmosphere, thanks to both guests and personel. Good quality German cuisine, with some nice suprises on the menu.

The decor is really unique, with mirrors everywhere and the tables are beer hall style with benches. The food is delicious and of very high quality. A speciality of the house are the Pfannkuchen (filled pancakes). As well, the service is excellent. A real find in the area!

My girlfriend and I are huge fans of Cafe Z. The food there is simply fantastic and inexpensive. The ambiance is absolutely marvelous. The only drawback is that a car is kinda necessary to get to it.. However, if you don't mind spending 34 minutes each way via public transport, then this is a place that should be tried out. You won't regret it.

Having had one or two disappointing experiences with Michelin-starred restaurants, we went to this one with an open mind. We needn't have worried though as it was delicious from start to finish. The restaurant is part of a 'gasthof' which is situated in a small village. They do have a pretty little garden but, unfortunately, the weather was wet and cool when we went.
We opted for their set menu and asked for wine recommendations which we enjoyed and which complimented the food well. It is quite a small restaurant, and the atmosphere was very convivial. Attractive paintings, lots of light-coloured wood and white linen make the restaurant light and airy. Service was efficient and cheerful. As can be expected at a Michelin-star restaurant, this was not a cheap meal, but worth every penny. A lot of hard work and imagination had gone into the preparation of the delightfully fresh ingredients. The food was beautifully presented with lots of colour, texture and flavour, and we made the most of our three-hour dining experience taking in and enjoying everything going on around us. We would definitely go back, perhaps next time for a lovely sunny lunch in their garden.

Decided to eat in Hotel Corfou (or Korfu as their signage reads) after Reading reviews here on Trip Advisor.
The restaurant is situated on the Basler Straße and does not look much from the outside, however step through the door and your typical German rustic restaurant.
The menu is a mix of German and Greek dishes.
My hubby had the Dolmades to start with which he said were excellent. I had schwein steak with bratkartofferln and hubby had the Stifado. We both thoroughly enjoyed our food.
Drinks are very reasonably priced with a Hefeweizen at 2.80 Euros.
Excellent value for money and good home cooked food.

My wife and I stayed overnight in Staufen after a long trip to Zurich from the U.S. West coast. The outside venue on the pedestrian only cobblestone streets was very pleasant. The food and service was excellent.

A friend and I dined here in September, after a long drive from Calais. It was quaint, small and friendly. The steaks were very well cooked, high quality and great value. Everything is in German, they don't speak English, but that's not a problem. You don't expect English in a typical German village.
Food was lovely, good value and served with a smile - and an excellent local German beer. Happy customers!

Visited Lowen which is situated in the Basler Straße on our last night as we wanted something light to eat. As it was threatening rain we ate inside and it is a very modern style restaurant inside.
We both had Tagliatelle with Salmon, along with a couple of glasses of local red wine. Finishing with a tea and coffee, a very reasonable 29 euros.
We would definitely return.

The food was fresh, tasty, and portions large. As well, the staff was very attentive and helpful. The weather outside was cold and bitter, but a dinner at Dipiu made us feel a lot closer to the mediterranean.Thank you
