At Belião, you'll an amazing. Delicious homemade biscuits and muffins, exotic teas, or stakes, salads, pies and lasagnas which will make water grow in your mouth.
Always the finest music, friendly waiters and a mood which is, at the same time, both cosy and extravagant. There's also live music and Djs, turning the quite afternoons and evenings into all night parties.
And, if you look through the window pane, you'll notice a breathtaking landscape.

I have eaten here periodically for about 20 years. It has never failed to provide really excellent food in delightful surroundings. I went again with my wife and Portuguese friends last week and it continues to be really excellent. The "Dish of the Day" al;ways represents excellent value. On Wednesday they always have pigs trotters with tripe and beans, which is typical of the area and quite outstanding.

We went there based on the reviews, but it was nothing special. Food was dry and overpriced. The pineapple I ordered for dessert tasted like onion. Service was good, but we were the only ones in there. probably won't go there again.

Set in an old watermill in Ponte da Barca, right next to the beautiful bridge of the fifteenth century which gives its name to this town, you find the Restaurante O Moinho. A Portuguese regional cuisine restaurant with warm ambience and with all the amenities
Great lunch with friend in the veranda. The starters were great and the main course was delicious. All made at the moment for us. Traditional food at is best in a simple, unpretentious setting.

we went here twice and had excellent meals for a very reasonable price. The owners only spoke French and Portuguese and we spoke neither very well but we managed to communicate somehow! The food was simple but very tasty with very good local wine.

We ate the house stake. It was grilled meat acompanied by potatos (batatas a muro), and vegetables.
The vegetables were nice, the potatos were ok, but the meat was not up to standards. The meat in that kind of restaurant should be a lot better!
The service was average, although the waiters were polite.
The codfish looked nice, but that's something one can eat anywhere in Portugal...
Certainly not the best in Arcos de Valdevez....

I went here for lunch after a searching at Tripadvisor app. The restaurant is rated as the #2 in the town.
The restaurant is small and dark with traditional decor and serving genuine Portuguese food.
It's not a cheap restaurant, but either expensive, to me considering the food quality it's acceptable. At lunch time it can be crowded.
PROS
- food: tasty and well cooked;
CONS
- Payment only with cash, I can understand, but in our days is not practical;
DO I WILL RETURN?
can happen, not sure as first option

The place to stay at a nice and cozy ambience, eat some small dishes and try different Portuguese wines.
Not only was the food of the best we had during our three weeks in Portugal, but the staff was so friendly and social it made our meal all the more memorable. My husband and I loved the atmosphere, the setting right by the river, and the warmth of the servers. The food was fantastic--I had a steak skewer and my husband had a seafood skewer. Both were delectable. We were also very impressed by everyone's command of multiple tongues--English, French, Italian, Spanish... They engaged us in conversation about where we're from and where we're headed next, and talked a bit about themselves as well. A wonderful overall experience in a lovely little town. Next time we're in Ponte de Barca, we will head straight to In Tapas Veritas.
