Antsirabe (Malagasy pronunciation: [anˌtsiraˈbe]) is the second largest city in Madagascar and the capital of the Vakinankaratra region, with a population of 238,478 in 2013. In Madagascar, Antsirabe is known for its relatively cool climate (as the rest of the central region of the country), its industry and the high concentration of pulled rickshaws or pousse-pousse (in French), among other things.

Ouvert tous les jours sauf dimanche. Service continu de 10h a 23h. Decor original, on s'assoie dans des Pousses Pousses. Cuisine française et malgache avec inspirations d'ailleurs Wifi gratuite Free wifi
I absolutly suggest Le pousse pousse because is very smart place and they have really good food: i eat met sauce and the mix french and tradicional food is amazing. You eat in the tradicinal pousse pousse "taxi" of Ambalavao and is very romantic for a couple.

Several of us ate here in January, 2017. At first disappointed because Chez Jenny was closed , we were soon happy, very happy with our food. The ‘Riz Cantonais’ and soups were delicious. Five of us ate for 44,500 Ariary, or about $14.00. Some nights they have a cabaret with local musicians.

I ordered the zebu steak with pommes frites, my husband had a duck dish which was also very good. The restaurant was in a central location, only steps away from the Flower Palace Hotel where we were staying. We were the only guests there at 8 pm on a Monday night. Friendly service, waitress spoke some english which helped.

This is a popular and good restaurant in Antsirabe complete with a real pizza oven.
In addition to pizza and pasta, it serves typical Malagasay food. The steaksin particular are great.
The place seems to be popular and can be crowded slowing down the service but it is worth the wait.

This temple of French culture is unfortunately too focused on a Franco-French frequentation so that for non-francophone visitors this is not a place where tforeign visitors can feel comfortable. Nice management, friendly atmosphere in general and good price / quality ratio.

Three of us ate here several times in December, 2016 and January 2017. Chez Jenny is connected to the lovely Green Park Hotel. The combo is irresistible. Chez Jenny has wonderful food. The crusty baguettes are especially fine, but all the meals were memorable. The pizzas (13,000 Ariary, about $4) are among the best we had in Madagascar. The Malagasy dishes are also excellent and a bit cheaper!! You may need to make Reservations, easy to do if you’re staying at Green Park…and you should stay there. See my separate review.

Set in a tropical garden in the city center, the setting is pleasant . His cuisine highlights local products in international dishes , such as raclette , tartiflette , but also specializes in spices and herbs with very popular Creole and Indian dishes in Madagascar. The bar offers cocktails and rums in a rather festive atmosphere. The hotel regularly organizes theme nights, Concerts and even the broadcasting of sporting events on giant screens. So go to Tonga Soa in L'Insolite ( welcome to L'insolite )
This restaurant deserves its rating as number one in Ansirabe. It's a wonderful place to taste flavours from around the world, from Mexico to Morocco to Vietnam, Switzerland, and even Japan. My husband and I stopped in after a month of eating nothing but Malagasy food and we're delighted by the authentic and exotic tastes. We tried the Vietnamese salad, the Moroccan lamb and prune tagine, and the Italian sweet potato and bacon gnocchi - all were delicious and well-presented. The host, who has been in this business for ten years, emphasises local produce including organic vegetables and highland cheeses. He's super welcoming, and offered us a rhum arrangé to finish our meal. The large number of regulars who come back again and again attest to how good this place is.

Delicious european starters, with Salade Landaise or Duck Foie Gras, at very reasonnable prices. Zebu fillet and many other good things on the menu. I would avoid the Magret de Canard (Duck Fillet), which is not prepared the way I like it: it is sliced and then cooked, which makes it a bit dry.

This pizzeria has a very nice interior (except for the television) and good staff who even speak a little English.
Inside the restaurant is a wood oven where they make their pizza.
The pizza was one of the best we had in Madagascar.
Not easy to find but worth going here.

This restaurant is a huge favorite among the Mormon missionaries who serve in the city of Antsirabe. My son recommended the curry dish and it was delicious. I am a big curry fan...I've had Thai inspired curry, Indian inspired curry, Mediterranean inspired curry, and so on. This Malagasy take on chicken curry has a deep, luscious flavor. It is perfectly silky and leaves you wanting more and more and more. Others in our party had a beef/steak dish that received rave reviews. Chez Billy is an excellent find in a wonderful city.
