After a long drive, this park was nice to relax. Beautifully landscaped and with a very interesting building.
People of all ages were obviously comfortable. The smaller Mountains and woods along with the Fountain, trees, and flowers make it a must place to visit if in town.

I was pretty excited until I realised there's not much to it than some massive salt tunnels with some Playgrounds around like, swings, slides, football pitch, karts and even a church. Sounds pretty good but it didn't feel like something that I would want to pay to go back.
There's a bus drive to get there, obviously underground, for about 2.5km. The actual mine is at 250m from the surface and I have to say, it is a bit frightening if you think about it.
I was expecting a bit more history into the place and apart from the few pictures on the sidewalls, you can't really find much more about it.
Some tour guides would have been nice.

Some says is not for everyone, some that is not for every season, but I think is for everyone and for every season. The trick is to decide if you want to go until the end or not. It can be steep or dangerous if is slippery but slowly it can be done, and it is worth for all the views and for the birch forest and for the trout nursery and... Tray it and if you can't go further turn back.

This monument was raised in memory of the more than 14 000 romanian soldiers dead in the
WW I(1916-1918) on the Oituz-Cosna-Ciresoaia front line.
The stone made building is 22 m high, carved in the form of bombshell. Works for the erection of this monument were made by soldiers remaining alive after the battle in the summer of 1917.
The building has a ground floor and two floors, connected by a spiral stair.
Inside is a tomb of the unknown soldier and a little museum.
50 meters up further is the "Magura" monastery.

Cheile Slanicului is a gorge formed by Slanic river and, although they aren't as spectacular as other gorge(like Cheile Bicazului, for example) you won't regret a visit there, for sure.Is a narrow valley about 500m long. The road follows one of the river banks,on the other bank you can walk on foot, stoping from time to time to try the water of one of the many mineral Springs. The air is pure and thee landscape is breathtaking. At the upper end of the gorge you can find a not very big but beautiful waterfall.

I know this pool since I was a child. It was entirely renovated a few years ago and now it's looking very well. They use salt from the local salt mine to make water seem like the one in the Mediterranean sea(I mean very salty). As a result, you can easily float, even if you don't know how to swim.
