Auckland's Sky Tower is the tallest structure in the Southern Hemisphere, this tower is more than 300 metres high. Offering stunning views, along with award winning restaurants, a gift shop and an opportunity to push your limits by walking the outside of the viewing platforms, or by jumping off from 192 metres above Auckland's CBD.
The Sky Tower was a great experience. The lifts were readily available and quick. The glass panel in the floor was a good touch. The views from the viewing platforms were superb. They keep you informed when and if there is anyboby going to do the jump. We were fortunate and got a couple of great shots of someone in mid air. Noit overly expensive and well worth a visit.

It was raining, so we appreciated the complimentary umbrellas... but the rain made for simply stunning photography! What gorgeous plants, shrubs and trees to wander through. A waterfall, Bridges and beautiful stone walls... we were definitely led down the garden path! Thoroughly recommend spending time in these magnificent Gardens. Entry fee is minimal and it is so worth a visit! There is also a small coffee shop and gift shop.

Magic Broomstick Segway Tours is an absolute "Must do" while you are in Auckland. This activity is fun and exciting and just a little out of the ordinary as you experience the unique sensation of riding a Segway. We first teach you the art of riding then you're off on a tour or short ride. Gliding to the summit of Mt. Victoria or North Head, Devonport's volcanic cones, where you can checkout the Military fort's of the 1880's and be gob-smacked by the awesome views of Auckland city and the Hauraki Gulf is suitable for those over 13 years of age. If you would like a shorter ride we have a "Taste" of Segway which takes in the Beaches and Victorian Villa's of Devonport. If you have a 10 year old in your group you can still experience the awesome Segway as we have a FUN Family ride especially for you.
We LOVE segways and the moment we stepped off the ferry from Auckland and spotted the segways, we knew we had to do it. Our plan was to visit Mt Victoria and this was a great way to do it. Adam was our guide and I was so happy that we fit into their schedule since we didn’t have a reservation. We were the only ones on the tour and it was great. It was a warm day and you could see it on the faces of the people walking up the hill. Adam did a great job and also gave us a great reference for lunch. Would highly recommend!!!!!

Whether you want views, history, food or shopping.... it can all be had here. A roundabout land route can be shortened by a ride on the Fullers Ferry from Pier 1, Queens Wharf. Return tickets for adults cost 12.50NZ$ or the AT Hop top-up card can be used on Ferries, as well as on the trains and buses for the 12 min crossing.
A 15-25 min walk gets you to the summit of Mount Victoria from the ferry terminal, where you are rewarded with spectacular views of Auckland, Mt Rangitoto and Waitemata harbour.
Plenty of places can be found for well-cooked food. There is a well-sheltered area near the beach to rest and watch sailboats or windsurfers. Not a great number of shops in this pretty place but a great variety and bargains can be found by the shopping-savvy. The tourist info office, on Victoria Road is well stocked with leaflets and a warm welcome. Go once and you'll want to go back to see if you missed anything.

This lovely urban park offers an escape from the city hustle and bustle with oak tree-lined roads, winding paths and grazing sheep and cattle.
A wonderful place rain or shine. I’ve spent a week walking daily around the park and the summit.
It’s great to see families, joggers, walkers and elderly enjoying the scenery.
Plenty of trees and picnic areas. Plenty of sheep and cows and even some chickens and roosters.
Good paths around the park or if your wanting a bit more of a challenge, try walking the summit.

A trip up the highest volcanic peak in Mainland Auckland offers striking views of the downtown area and harbor.
Beautiful 360 degree views offers a great look at Auckland. Think it would be a great place to watch the sun set.

Discover the history and culture of New Zealand through this memorial to those who sacrificed their lives in wartime.
You will know a lot about NZ history, its culture and tradition - particularly Maori culture. It is big and requires lot of time to go through each section. There is an entry fee. Some time there is an exhibition of photographs and other artistic things. We were amazed to see various presentation of photographic marvels. A must while in Auckland.

Took the ferry across from Auckland CBD to Devonport and walked up North Head. The ferry ride itself is great to get out of the hustle of the city. A comfortable walk uphill to North Head took about 10 minutes. Fantastic views from the top across the gulf and looking down over Devonport, which is one of the most relaxed places I have seen around the harbour. The tunnels and gun emplacements, with the 3D map, make the place well worth a visit from a historical point of view. The birds and the man-made toadstools add to the amazing calm. Wander back down and spend some time sitting by the water at Devonport, or hit the shops. Plenty of food places and clean public loos right outside the library.
