We took our Toyota Prado to the Sani Pass summit recently. A great day trip that shall be long remembered for the adventurous drive and the spectacular views. Fortunately it was a fantastic day, clear skies and Sunshine. Given the poor state of the road, I can just imagine the difficulties involved in doing the drive in adverse weather conditions... at least being a pretty inexperienced 4x4 driver. At the top we were rewarded with a good lunch at the restaurant, after a smooth passage through the Lesotho immigration. So one more item ticked off our bucket list.

Easily found the cheese factory and the road from the main road was not to bad for a sedan car. Staff friendly and helpful and quite a range of flavored cheeses available. Was a bit disappointed that no tour of the actual manufacturing process was available. Preservatives was a bit pricey. Nice cheese and should have bought more. Well, next time.......

I highly recommend the cheese as this is outstanding but I was disappointed that there was nothing else to do there. A tour to view the cheese making process will be an excellent addition.

Pucketty Farm Stall is an epicurean delight. All of our products are homemade. Baskets groaning with our fresh home baked goodies. Pies, quiches, pates, puddings, locally made farm cheeses filling our display fridge. Shelves displaying our vast range of jams and marmalades, pickles and chutneys. Old fashioned ginger beer, pickled onions, and much, much more. We are well known for our unique honesty system and, let's face it, it's refreshing to be trusted in this day and age. A one-stop shop, in a relaxed atmosphere, where you simply write you purchases in the book provided, put your money the box and take your change.
We stopped here on our way to the wild coast. The farm is beautiful, food was excellent, the hospitality was lovely and the kids had so much to do around the farm. I wish there was a place like the every 200 km- it would make travelling with children a lot easier.

Upon entry one can immediately see the typical German architecture and feel the small village feeling. Unfortunately, it is no longer run as an active monastery. It now serves as a local school. Visitors are welcome to roam the grounds. The buildings, setting, and beautiful colours make the set-up excellent for photography.

This is a seldom visited place that is excellent for seeing forest birds. There is a dirt road that runs through a good portion of the forest. The road is rutted and has some pot holes, so a vehicle with good clearance is recommended.
Botanists will also enjoy the trees and other amazing plants in the area. Very beautiful.
There are no facilities at all, so it’s best to stop before or after in Donnybrook - or at Ixopo which is not too far.
