Ramayana Ballet at Prambanan

Reviewed By jamuna - kuala lumpur

We got good seats for IDR200K.
Though despite being in the very first row,, we found the english commentary blurrish.
Despite the fact the show runs on lots of international tourists, they had no english subtitles at all. The whole time the story line displayed on a side screen was in malay. Being an Indian myself and I understand Malay, it was easy for me to follow the play.
However, I pity those who have little knowledge of the entire story and do not understand Indonesian language. One would be lost...
Very nice costumes and beautiful casts. Hanuman was a tad too thin.
We saw people sleeping off 10mins into the show.
We lefr after 1 hour during the interval as it was just too boring by then.
All in all, it could have been better if the commentaries were clearer and the storyline was in English as well. My husband who is a non-Malay speaker barely knew what was going on.

Taman Pelangi

The park is open at evening started 5 or 6 PM.
My children were very pleasant to play at the ground. There were trampolin, ballon house, bumper car, and also we could ride our own kinds of ricksaw by renting them.
Besides, we could enjoy the evening by walking round the park with bautiful lights view.
There was no admission ticket needed, just parking ticket and tickets for every attraction to be rent.
There is also a trans-jogja halte ath the opposite of the Monumen Jogja Kembali.

Breksi Cliff

Reviewed By Ayru1712 - Indonesia

Breksi cliff is currently a very popular tourist destination in Yogyakarta, maybe that's why this place is always full of visitors. There isn't much to do at this place actually, except taking pictures and watching live music performance.
A really bad thing about this place is that some people provide animals (owls) that we can take pictures with if we give some amount of money. In my opinion, this is an animal cruelty. Owls are nocturnal animals and they should be sleeping in daylight, not taking pictures with humans. I hope this practice will be stopped asap.

The Lost World Castle

Reviewed By Ricky H - Jakarta, Indonesia

If you are looking for outdoor games or culinary adventure then this is not for you. However if you love to take picture and upload it to your instagram / path then this is for you. This place has some perfect spot for taking picture with Merapi background.
It is still unfinished when we came. According to ticket, entry fee is IDR 60.000/person however since it is still promo, we only had to pay as small as IDR 25.000/person
How to get there?
There's no public transportation, you must bring your own car/motorcycle. From Yogya, heading to Kaliurang and take the route to Cangkringan then just follow the main road.
Best time to visit?
Dry season (check with local authority for sure), in the morning. Bring your bottle water with you since there's only one small kiosk that sell drink and snack inside the attraction. Do not forget your camera, of course.
Dress code?
T-shirt and jeans and sport shoes.

As far as I remember, I've ever gone here to see the beauty of Merapi mountain when I was child. It was a cloudy day I think. But now I revisit this place in working purpose and at the evening. I was so lucky because nowadays till the end of January, Gardu Pantau become more beautiful at night in their shining lights.
The festival is held between December 2015 till January 2016. This place became more crowded when you visit later night. This is so romantic place with many unique creatures which were made by lanterns. Don't forget to bring your best camera for the best photo. I bet you will comfort to stay here and need a lot of memory available on your camera because every spot had its own beautiful.
