Most of this limestone island is a protected marine reserve… which means you’ll enjoy unspoiled beaches, as well as fantastic diving and snorkeling. Several local dive shops get great reviews from our travelers. When you’re back on dry land, chill out even more with a session of yoga on the beach.

I made this trek hoping to get some great sunset pics. I think I did okay there but wow, what a steep hike. It is a nice viewpoint and I think worth the hike but be ready for it. Bring water and if you're old like me, take your time.

This bay has so much going for it.
Pristine sand
Quiet by Phi Phi standards
Clear blue water
Gently sloping gradient for safe bathing
No motorised water sports
Modest in length - can walk end to end in 20 minutes comfortably
A few great resorts
2 or 3 private beach restaurants
Direct ferry services to Phuket with offloading onto longboats direct to the resorts
Plenty of private longboats available for excursions/visits to other parts of the island.
I have been to other Beaches around the World where the sand has been even more pristine, or the sea bluer, but as an overall package, this takes some beating.

One of the most beautiful sceneries and Beaches close to Phi Phi! It is a bit crowded though due to the day trip speedboats. Most of the speedboats, spend an hour or so to the beach, so I would definitely recommend to rent a longboat and spend more time on this awesome beach with blue-pool-water. Bring with you water or food cause there are no facilities on the island.

Our group took this day trip on a speedboat along with many other speedboats. We got off the speedboat on Phi Phil Island and walked up the hill to the top like many other tourists. The view from up there was still so beautiful and worth walking up quite many stairs.

Great snorkeling place but be warned, the island does earns its name. Take some mosquito spray or cream with you to protect yourself when out of the water. From personal experience i recommend the local ones made with lemon grass.Works like a charm.

The world famous Maya Bay, location of the film “The Beach” starring Leonardo Dicaprio, located in Phi Phi Ley, with white sandy beach, surrounded by gigantic limestone cliffs and coral reefs.
Everyone wants to see Maya Beach and of course to settle your curiosity and tick the box you should. Did it blow me away? No but there was some good snorkelling nearby.
