They say it is an easy excursion. Yes, but only for those that climb up the Mont Everest twice a week :-)
If you are an office worker with limited fitness, be prepared for a hard work.
It is a beautiful area. Walking up to the entrance of the canyon from the parking place takes about an hour. Walking up to the top is about 90 minutes and 3000 stairs.
Walking back to the parking place is an another 90 minutes.
One can reward him- or herself in a "Hütte" on the peek with beer, Almdudler, Coke, sandwiches etc.
The landscape is really breath-taking.

Eine besondere Attraktion sind die frühsommerlichen Serenaden-Konzerte der Kunstschule Bruck an der Mur. Tolle junge Sänger präsentieren jedes Jahr Highlichts aus dem Bereich der Oper und Operette. Mehrere Vorstellungen, relativ schnell ausverkauft.

I visited this museum about 10 years ago, but I still wanted to return here as it has such a special atmosphere. On top of a mountain, a sacred place where people have come already for thousands of years to worship. This year when we visited we found that the museum had been renovated, enlarged, and also the excavations of the previous years are constantly bringing up new finds. Recently a beautiful statue has been found, which makes it even more special. For all interested in archaeology, but also in spiritual matters, it is a must see.

We spent many an hour at the Kornmesserhaus café on the town square watching the world go by. Delightful staff, ice cold wine and super snacks are par for the course here.
