Trelew (Spanish pronunciation: [treˈleu̯], from Welsh: tre "town" and the name of the founder) is a city in the Chubut Province of Argentina. Located in Patagonia, the city is the largest and most populous in the low valley of the Chubut River, with 97,915 inhabitants as of 2010. The Trelew municipality is part of the Rawson Department, whose capital, Rawson, is also the provincial capital.

An amazing place with spectacular scenery in every direction. We had a great time driving along the mainly deserted roads in the area.

Came here on a Princess cruise land tour. As a geologist, I was already aware of the record-setting dinosaurs discovered in Patagonia by museum staff, and visiting the museum was a no-brainer. I was not disappointed! This is a modern, relatively small museum in a small city, but extremely well organized. Our English-speaking guide gave a thorough tour, hitting appropriate highlights. I could have used another couple of hours to look into some of the regional specimens. The fossil prep lab is visible behind glass walls, and one can watch the staff at their careful work. Highly recommended.

Located just across the street of the pathological museum, this museum is small in scale.
A couple of cheery staff who tried their best to give an overview of the 5 rooms.
They were the ones who made my day.
And where can one find a 2 peso admission museum?

Imperdible hacer esta excursión al aire libre, fósiles vegetales con miles de años, cuentan un poco como fue la vegetación en esta zona mucho tiempo atrás, en donde no todo era tan árido como lo es actualmente.
