The Perfume Studio has been likened to a visitor centre and situated in a wonderful location on the shores of Loch Ewe, just three miles from the turn-off to Aultbea. We are multi-functional, manufacture our own perfumes, cremes and soaps, running a quality cafe and offering an unusual gift shop. Our own branded toiletries are manufactured with top quality ingredients, our cafe serves a selection of teas and coffees, lunches and yummy cakes and we were awarded the Taste Our Best Award by Visit Scotland in 2015, 2016 and 2017. As far as possible, our gift shop is stocked from local and Scottish suppliers and there is a substantial range of books, both fiction and non-fiction and maps of the area. The Image Studio is a working photography studio from which we run residential workshops - usually during the winter, when the light is low. We are very proud to hold a 5* Visit Scotland accreditation.
We stopped here for a morning coffee we couldn't believe how much we paid for a latte. A very small latte mostly froth. Also we had pancake and jam and couldn't believe that we were only given one pancake each for the price we paid. Total rip off. Such a shame because it's a lovely cafe. Very clean and the girl who served us was friendly. You have to travel quite a distance to get to it and I'm afraid it's just not worth the drive

Very fortunate to attend the 75th memorial service yesterday. A fitting and touching tribute to these amazing brave people from both the and . A minesweeper in the back drop with a spitfire fly past were amazing. Wonderful heartfelt service and the people that organise the event did themselves proud I felt privileged to have attended as part of the Royal Navy contingent. The real stars were the veterans from both UK and Russia, thank you for all you gave x

This unique and magnificent garden features many species of plants including spectacular rhododendrons, azaleas, trees and shrubs.
What a legacy that was left by Osgood Mackenzie! Unfortunately, the hard rains shorten our visit but not before we had walked through the bamboo area, rhododendron walk, American area, the walled garden and toured the small and comfy Inverewe House.
We would love to see the Gardens in summer or spring but still saw some plants in bloom in October. I was very impressed with the unusual and large sedums and pine trees from Australia that they thought might be extinct.
We entered the Gardens through the gift shop. Before we left we had lunch at Oscars which is across the parking lot.

Interesting, informative and fun,, John the host tells a great well rehearsed story that introduces the art of whiskey distilling through the ages, take the tour it's very informative and presents a very interesting view of the days when the distilling of whiskey was rife.

Other reviewers seemed to rate this place highly. It looks pretty low budget, but as you look around and see the local history brought to life, you can't help getting drawn in. There is loads here to fascinate the curious traveller.
