If you are spending any time in Valencia, Venezuela, be sure to visit Parque Fernando Penalver. It is a huge, peaceful oasis in an otherwise noisy, traffic-filled, mostly concrete city. When viewing the park from the freeway, you wonder why anyone would build a park right there beside it. The other side borders on a quieter area leading towards La Vina and El Vinedo areas.
Once you have entered, however, it is like a breath of fresh air, with walking/jogging trails that you can take several hours to cover if you stop to take in the varied trees/plant life, or take time to sit on the benches situated in calm or off the beaten trail areas. The trails wind their way through both the sun and shade. There are some attractive Bridges to cross from which you can take in the rather uncared for winding river, and there is an area with a burst of beautiful color from a Venezuelan flag display, which I believe is near some historical statues. I must also mention that there is an occasional concession area or cart vendor, and you might encounter a mounted police man or woman. If you're an animal lover, be on the lookout for interesting birds, squirrels, or a large and cute but timid rodent called chiguire. To top off the interesting features of this park, they have music piped in at some points along the trails, and there is some interesting artwork on display here and there. Definitely worth visiting.

Sambil shopping centr is located in a nice neighbourhood. The whole builfing has a nice structure. It has a home entrance. 1st and 2nd floor. Shops are good. Brands like zara EPK -for kids- tennis Tommy and CAT can be found there. Recently Breshka nearly closed its shops. There is a Cinema and there are some restaurants like a foodcourt on the top floor. As for a snack you can try cinnobon ,churros or icecream. There is a play ground for kids s well. And a train which drives around the mall just for kids!
It is a very place to walk and windowshop but if you have a list of items to buy,I can not promise that you will find all there. In that case I recomnend you go to Metropolice. Another shpping mall in Valencia

If ever there was a symbol of a fallen Venezuela, this is it. You can tell that at one time, this was a great historical landmark and source of pride for the country. The monument itself is beautiful and there are the symbolic guards who stand at attention around the clock, similar to Buckingham Palace or Arlington Cemetery. Other than that, there is nothing here. No historical markers telling you the history, no museum displays, no pamphlets on the history. The grounds are poorly kept with overgrown grass, weeds and trash. The bathrooms are worse than any truck stop I have been to and have no toilet paper (always bring your own when traveling in Venezuela). The parking lot is full of tanks and there is a strong army presence that seems unnecessary. This could be a nice place, but it is a sad reflection of what is going on in the rest of the country.

In our Hotel we offer our guests and visitors, premier facilities and services, hoping that your stay in our thermal center is for the full enjoyment, relaxation and health. Located in the town of Trincheras, Carabobo state and surrounded by vegetation and mountain climate that together with our hot Springs (among the best in the world) create the ideal ambiance for your vacation, weekend or occasional visit. The Las Trincheras Thermal Center is a complex built around the largest and most important source of hot Springs in Venezuela. Conceived as a place for therapeutic treatments and rest room par excellence, it is based on the waters that emerge from the subsoil at high temperatures (92 degrees Celsius) thanks to the action of magmatic elements present in the area. The waters of Las Trincheras are recognized by international experts as the second in the world by its temperature and the first by its chemical composition and healing properties.
Visited this place after a good friend insisted I should pay them a visit. One word, super relaxing. The saunas, hot water baths combined with the hot water jets, give an amazing feeling of relaxation. Was not really impressed by the massages at the spa though. I really really expected a lot more from the massages.. But the jets and baths made up more than 100% Recommendable!!!

We went on Tuesday morning which coincided with several bus loads of hundreds of school kids. Which didn't help our experience. As others have noted, signage is poor. We headed off to see the Sharks first. Despite signs tellingpeople not to sit down in the tunnels or bang on the glass, the school kids did both. There were no staff around to monitor behaviour or to direct questions to. We went to see the dolphin show which was dull, all aimed at the school kids & all speaking was in Spanish. We didn't enjoy the experience & wouldn't recommend. We enjoyed seeing all the architecture in the area, however, although it was sad to see how run down the buildings & landscaping are.
