Sailing is a phylosophy, courage, strength and loyalty are our Mission. Respecting man and our earth.Try and discover news emotions, new feelings , and share this for a conscious way of life!
We chose Torri as my husband had learned to sail on Lake Garda and wanted to be based somewhere where he could have a lesson or two and then charter a yacht. Well.......when we arrived to enquire they just said no they could not help us either with lessons or yacht hire. They could not wait for us to leave. We just don't understand. It was a shame as we had allowed a few thousand euros for this part of the holiday.

The view of Torri del Benaco is determined by the scaliger castle. Particularly at night when the castle is illuminated it is already visible from lies distance when coming from Garda. Dwelling through the well preserved remains should be the first thing you do in Torri, after which the small town has a few more pleasant surprises. Particularly those appreciating art will have a lot to see. But the variety in restaurants also invites to a drink or a meal.

I love this place. Part bar, part deli. The place is small, dark and cosy and you could easily walk past and now know it. I remember being initially intimidated going inside as there were a few italian youths hanging outside, smoking, chatting and looking really cool. Like I wanted to look when I was 18. But I thought, that if it's good enough for the locals i'll give it a go. Pleased I did. It hardly ever opens from what I remember, but when it does get yourself in there.
I ate some local meats and drank (too much) local wine, which was delicious and all in all it was pretty cheap. On my return a few days later I had a few beers, which were also good (german ones if memory serves). It's one of the better bars in Torri, don't be put off by the "youths" they are a lovely bunch really.

We stumbled across this little church when ambling around the little streets of local shops right next to the lake in Torri Del Benaco. Very bright and spacious inside considering it's size with some interesting things to a see.

On a red hot day it was lovely to spend 30 minutes wondering around this great church that is not only nice to look at but is educational as well. We are not religious but did really enjoy visiting this church.

As best we could tell, the building is not open for visiting. There is a winter garden visible from the southern side, but a sports field blocks access to it. It is a nice structure with Venetian style crenelations on top. You can see it from three sides as you walk along the lake shore.
