Strangely shaped cliffs lure locals and tourists to this popular park, which offers hiking and a wonderful retreat from the city.
Stolby Park is a quiet and beautiful place, and it is nice to get away from the polluted air in Krasnojarsk. We took bus 37 (a ticket can be bought on board for 22 rubels) which took us to "funpark", a kind of fair for kids, where you can also take a ski lift to get to the entrance of the stolby park. We paid 270 rubles per person for a ticket. Once you're up, you have a nice view of the town and the river. We started our walk there and followed the yellow line. The trees along the way are marked with yellow paint, so you can't get lost. It takes a while before you see the first rocks. You should consider the walk is quite long, so take enough to eat and drink. If you follow the yellow path, it will lead you to another exit/entrance. If you continue walking, you will eventually arrive at a street, not far from a bus station. Bus 50 comes every 30 minutes (as late as 22.15 and 22.45) and takes you back to the city center. You need at least half a day for this approximately 15 km walk between the rocks (stolbys) but it is worth it!

This theater I would definitely recommend, but you have to speak Russian (probably not worth otherwise , unless you go with a small kid or you have a Russian friend to translate).
The theater is in a strange neighborhood, it is a lodge building, but , they have morning shows about 12pm-1pm.
But the play! - you have to see it, it was awesome !
Even inside it is magical: lots of puppets talking and moving (they are computer animated) and they play ... It is magical, look in Internet for "Tomsk 2ky" .

Known as the Pearl of Siberia, this incredibly pure and clear Freshwater lake measures one mile in depth, contains more flora and fauna than any other lake in the world, including the only existing fresh water seals, and is surrounded by high Mountains, wildflower meadows and rich green Forests.
The largest body of fresh water in the world. Cold, clear and home to a seal found no where else in the world. Take a cruise on the lake, but if you are daring take a swim under watchful eyes and rescue divers nearby, in the waters that average 9 degrees Celsius. There are nearby shops with souvenirs and food stalls worth a visit but most shop owners do not like having their picture taken if you're not a customer. The small but informative aquarium nearby gives an excellent history of the Lake formation and has examples of the fish that inhabit the lake.

Krasnoyarsk lies along this beautiful and powerful river, providing picturesque views for city dwellers and tourists.
Well made walkway along the riverbank. The water appears quite clear. Fishing occurs and there are cruises and bars to be enjoyed. The bars are OK but not flash.

Actually, NOT at the Drama Theatre, but at the Musical Theatre, which is not listed on Trip Advisor! I saw Verdi's Aida, a touring production from Ulan Ude, which was not only superbly sung, and quite well played, it was imaginatively and luxuriously designed in traditional style. The theatre is clearly Soviet in style, as are the prices. I paid the equivalent of £3 for an excellent seat. GO!!

This fascinating zoo features 4000 animals representing 399 species, and is active in the preservation and reproduction of endangered species.
Once located in the very city center in a congested space last decade the zoo enjoy the plenty of space in the near suburb area. It is a wonderful place to relax summertime, especially with children

I visited this Cathedral in Feb 2017. It was very cold and there were many ice carving/sculptures outside the Cathedral. One of the beautiful Cathedral that i have seen in Russia. Inside the Cathedral was amazing. Icons, mural paintings were really fantastic. Must see place in Irkutsk. Small ice carving chapel was really beautiful.
