It is like strip with restaurants, bars, clubs, stores, street vendors, artist, and performer’s. All local people with few forgings. Very affordable prices and very extremely fun to me. Absolutely safe and using uber very cheap to get there like less than $10 dollars each way from the InterContinental hotel.

We had an excellent tour with Fernando during our 12 hour layover in El Salvador. Fernando was waiting for us outside the airport with a sign with our names on it. He and his partner Roberto did a great job of communicating with us during the months leading up to our trip and in helping us detail the places we wanted to visit. We visited some Volcanos in a National Park where we also did a short hike. On the drive up there we stopped and drank fresh coconut juice from a little roadside stand, tasted sugarcane along a road, as well as some ripe coffee beans.
Fernando’s English is very good and he was so helpful in facilitating our interactions with locals. We ate some traditional Salvadorian food in the park which was inexpensive and delicious. After the park we went to the ocean and walked out onto a pier to view local seafood being brought in by fishermen in their small boats. We ate wonderful fish at a beachfront little restaurant. We picked out the two fish we were to eat and they were prepared beautifully. We were brought back to the airport at the proper time to catch our connecting flight.
I would highly recommend Fernando and Roberto as guides for any trip you want to take in El Salvador and beyond. Our trip will be one my wife and I remember for the rest of our lives.

Gave average score, because cannot tell, if this place is good or bad. It is either way, but not in between. I bit better from inside, but the view from outside is really sad. Once we finally found the place we could not believe THIS was the top attraction of the whole city, to be honest. Kind of weird place, but they could spend a little to improve the outlooks. Not sure, if this is worth going..

Stopped here after visiting Joya de Cerén (it's very close). $3 for foreigners and entrance includes the very good museum/interpretive center and access to the site. Museum panels in Spanish and English. Very interesting history here! Few crowds. Make sure you see the indigo factory before you leave. Clean bathrooms!

It is a modern shopping center with very nice architecture, with high ceilings, and colorful walls. Located in an exclusive area of San Salvador. At Las Terrazas in the first and second levels, you can enjoy a meal, dessert or coffee in several restaurants and coffee shops while you are shopping. Pleasant areas at both levels. There are great local and international brand stores of fashionable clothing and shoes, also department stores, banks, cinemas, etc. Ideal to spend a shopping and entertainment time in San Salvador.

Great place to visit because it is so unique. Very cool at the top. Can get a good walk in with the well maintained trails.
Make you park IN the park - lots of people try to get you to park lower on the hill by telling you there is no parking at the top.

Estadio Las Delicias

We had planned to visit Estadio Municipal Las Delicias to watch a football match. The stadium is the home ground for Santa Tecla FC, a team in the Primera division of the Salvadoran football league. The stadium is about 25 minutes from the city and is very basic compared to English football stadia. The concrete terracing holds about 3000 supporters but there is plenty of room as it appears they are not well supported. The day we went there was about 300. The pitch is astroturf and there are refreshments and toilet facilities available. If you go to watch a match, and that is the only reason you would go, get a seat in the shade.

Great! great arcade for kids and adults. Excellent for celebrations (birthdays, etc), or for a weekend. You can easily spend the whole day with your kids there. The place is modern, safe and clean, it has a fair amount of parking space and it's located at one of the best areas in town.

IF you have 90 minutes and want to see an eclectic collection of Central American art, you've found the right place to go. The permanent and temporary Exhibitions tell a compelling story of El Salvador's history with emphasis on the civi conflict and post war transformation. The impacts of migration are also a theme explaining the diverse character of El Salvadoran art. If you have time, you'll be pleased with a visit. Tickets are only $1.50 .... very much a great value. The gift store also sports some great gifts from the region.

Walter Thilo Deininger National Park

Reviewed By Machuca_Raul - Dallas, Texas

I have to say this is one of the best National Parks of El Salvador!
I took my children and my wife to this place and were able to enjoy a full day of hiking with a tour guide who was very knowledgeable of the nature and fauna. The tour included a part where we enjoyed the cave with multiple types of bats and then hiked up to the "Mirador" where you were able to see the ocean from. So much wild life and activities are placed right inside the park. There are rope games and zipline! It was a ton of fun that even my 6 year old was able to take the guided rope activities! I highly recommend this tour and we will back again shortly!
