Looks can be deceiving ! This cafe doednt look much from the outside just looking like a tin shed but once you step in the door its a pleasant suprise ! With lots of gift ware all around the cafe (very expensive and over priced ) there are plenty tables and chairs inside and also a lovely outdoor area with plenty shelter. The cafe offers great coffee and service.

We went for a lovely walk around this area, it’s very pleasant with nice scenery and plenty of photo opportunities. We started at the marina and followed the walk round . Quite easy to follow and an easy walk. Stunning views, particularly on a sunny day which makes the sea so blue. Lots of different birds to see and we saw many cormorants!

Cape Jaffa is not the most famous place in the world but it is where Anna and Derek Hooper love to make wines - En Soleil - in the Sunshine. Living on the edge - where the often harsh and unpredictable Southern Ocean meets South Australia's Limestone Coast, Anna and Des produce wines that reflect the lifestyle they lead and the region they love. Wines with natural balance and honest personality...a unique lifestyle worth bottling! Drop into their cellar door for a guided wine tasting. They also offer delicious cape platters so you can settle in for an arvo on the veranda. Open 11am - 4pm daily (open a little longer during holiday periods 10am - 5pm)
They offer a wide variety of Wines all made by the Winery. These include both White and Red wines. Tastings are suitable for sampling the various wines offered by the winery. The greeting we received by the beautiful little dog immediately set the scene. What a lovely little, friendly place. Thoroughly enjoyed chatting with Ralph as we sampled his small but deliciously unique selection of wines. Left with some very fine wines to enjoy for Christmas......if they last that long.

Wangolina is a family owned and operated boutique vineyard & producer located in the Mt Benson wine region of the Limestone Coast. From primary beginnings as cattle farmers, fifth generation Anita Goode along with her father John, planted vineyards in 1999, from which we now source a majority of the fruit for the wines we produce. Our Wine Room is located at the Wangolina property between Robe & Kingston. Originally Shearers Quarters, our Wine Room is now a modern space where we proudly show and taste our wines - 7 days a week. (With the exception of Christmas Day & Good Friday.) Winter/Spring opening hours 11am - 4pm Summer/Autumn opening hours 10am - 5pm.
At Easter and start of January, Wangolina Station has a wine tasting day with music and marquee. We have been enjoying these for the last two years particularly on "non-beach" days. Wine excellent and good for kids too. Thanks for your support Melroseeast! We hope to see you at our cellar door soon. Cheers, Nharess van der Stelt Wine Room & Sales Manager

This sits atop a mound in the middle of a traffic Island just before you reach the marina having driven through the town. It commemorates captain Matthew Flinders RN who commanded the first ship to circumnavigate the continent of Australia. There are two heads, his and a Sub Lt. There also is a large cannon, flagpole and plaque explaining what is depicted.
