This park is not at all commercial and so the much better for it. The rangers are fantastic and the treks and ranger station well kept without invading the wildlife around them. The lagoon is utterly beautiful and popping with life - we had no problem seeing all the species of deer, howler monkey, capybara, otter, armadillo, caiman, frogs and toads and amazing birdlife. Long may it continue to be so unspoilt!

Hurry up and visit this place! If the government does not continue to protect this area the species in it are in danger. This is a spectacular water reservation and the people at Colonia C. Pellegrini show a great zeal to protect it. Mammals, birds, fishes of all sort inhabit the lands and waters of the Laguna Ibera.

Nice views of Corrientes City coastline are displayed as you walk from the Port to the Bridge or vice-versa. Not recommendable as a night alternative. In some corners, you may find not extremely pleasant little gangs. Better look the distant sights and not the closer views of the shore, lest you want to enjoy garbage landscapes. Lots of people fishing, and not a few of them seem to be doing it not as a sport, but in order to eat. Avoid noon, for heat may be cooking. And don`t forget your hat!

Las Marías is the world's biggest producer of yerba mate - this is where Yerba Taragüí is born, a brand, synonymous with mate not only in Argentina. All stages of yerba mate production are undertaken with integrated agroindustrial practices of the highest quality. The company also produces the best tea in America, plants trees on a large-scale - operating one of the largest sawmills in the country. We also are at the forefront in cattle ranching and breeding, the traditional activity in this region, which was introduced by the Jesuits four centuries ago. It could be understood that the main reason for thousands of visitors to come to Las Marías each year is because of its fascinating network of productive activities. However, once visitors arrive here, they discover its greatest charm: its people. Aside from the work, the many activities that make up the lives of the company's members take place here: Homes, schools, health care and other services are interwoven with parks and Gardens enhancing the beauty of the natural environment by creating peaceful spaces. Tree lined roads and trails connect these different areas, giving Las Marías a unique harmony that, without exception, enchant the visitor.
We stayed in Posadas for 2 nights, hoping to visit the Paraguayan Jesuit Missions, but some protestors blocked the bridge to Encarnación so we asked our hotel to arrange for us a day trip on the Argentinean side. Unfortunately, the receptionist forgot to check if Las Marias offered tours in English.
After almost 2 hours on the road (traffic delayed due to road work), we joined the tour en castellano which disappointingly failed to demonstrate the process of yerba mate production in its entirety. The guide took us to the greenhouse to explain the differences between té and mate then drove around the plantation, pointing at this and that building without stopping at any. Kids enjoyed it but for grown-ups, it’s a shame that we couldn't understand the whole process from crop to cup.
After the 45-min tour, we returned to the gift stop and were given samples of té verde and mate. There were some souvenirs we could have bought like mate bar soap but the queue was too long.

In its moment, and for Argentinean reality, this bridge must have been imposing. It`s huge indeed, and features very nice views of Corrientes City and the Paraná river. Sometimes, specially in rush hours, you'll have plenty of time to enjoy this landscapes, because cars run at a walking man's speed. Repairs are permanently in course, and incredibly this enormous structure was built only with two trails, one for each way. So, knots are frequent. But well, let's acknowledge that there are worst places to be stuck!

If you are in Paraguay, do not miss visiting this valuable effort to save endangered species while teaching bipeds about the spirit of Wilderness.
What may look like just any other group of cages and expanse of green belies a staggering effort. A team of professionals and volunteers are working here to care for and raise the animals of this region who lost their homes to the dam. Capybara, maned wolf, tapir, everglades deer, hairy ant eater, crocodile, otter...the list of unique faces goes on and on.
Go and see them. It is free and it is worth it. Children can run and adults can quiet.

Recientemente puesto en valor. Uno de los templos tradicionales de Corrientes. Muy cerca de todo. Merece una visita. Su estado actual es impecable y refleja la permanente concurrencia de una poblacion muy creyente y tradicional como la correntina.
