One of the Seychelles’ most popular destinations, Praslin is home to fantastic beaches and intimate hotels and resorts. Soak up the sun in style while you keep a sunglassed eye out for the very rare bird species that dwell on Praslin, including the Seychelles bulbul and the black parrot. Praslin National Park in the island's south contains the spectacular palm forest of Vallée de Mai. Divers love the ancient coral reefs off Praslin's shores.

This small, serene beach is among the most beautiful on Praslin Island.
Beautiful bounty beach. Bring your own towel/chair because there is nothing beside some palms to find shadow. I was told the hotel allows only 25 non-residents to pass the hotelground, so if you are not staying, you have to make a reservation a few days before. To put you on the list. Alternative way is to book a “Robinson Crusoe” trip by catamaran at Creol-travel agency. After snorkeling at St Piere , visiting Curiouse BBQ , they drop you at the beach for 1,5 hr. I saw more catamarans anchoring in front of the beach.(aprox €125 pp. Your hotel can arrange either option.

This popular beach boasts beautiful white sand and clear turquoise water; a sheltered cove is ideal for snorkeling.
First, the beach itself is beautiful... like postcard beautiful.
Second, it is not overly crowded. It's far from deserted either... but it is totally bearable.
Third : the snorkel is brilliant. You have to snorkel along the rocks on each side, and you can see tons of fishes !! And quite a lot of alive coral, which is a plus ! I personally saw a turtle and a huge octopus, plus thousands of fishes. And the sea is quite calm compare to plenty of other spots in Seychelles.

This island is strictly protected to allow Giant tortoises to prosper.
What a fantastic visit
It is advisable to book a trip with a local tourist agency which will be a full day trip and will include Cousin island and a barbeque lunch.
The nature reserve, the old giant tortoises and birdlife can not be descriped in words..you have to experience it!

Located within the property of the beautiful Constance Lemuria, this beach is a small hideaway from the mad world outside. Not a touristy beach and mostly hopped around by hotel guests, its private. Proximity to the hotel bar and grill - The Takamaka ensures your drink glasses are full and the experience is wonderful!

One of Seychelles' two UNESCO World Heritage Sites, this ancient forest is home to the wondrous Coco de Mer palm, which has the largest seed in the world, and many other birds, plants and reptiles, many of which are found nowhere else in the world. Visiting the Vallee de Mai is a step back in time and a unique experience.
To really appreciate the variety and importance of the various species a guide is recommended. We enjoyed the walk around the perimeter track of the tourist area of the reserve which could be challenging in some areas for the less mobile. We went as part of an organised tour for 1/2 a day which unless one is a botanist is probably sufficient. Definitely a must see if you have time to spare on your visit to Praslin.

Resplendent with exotic birds and trees, this crescent-shaped two-mile beach is still pristine.
There doesn't seem to be a bad beach in the Seychelles, this probably isn't the best, but is still very nice and better than you'll find most places in the world.
Anse Volbert is one of the busier Beaches, but again that's relative. Compared to Beau Vallon it's quiet. There are enough restaurants and shops if you get bored of sitting on the beach.
Just a nice place.

We were taken to this beach following our visit to the Valley de Mai. We were given lovely cold drinks and nibbles then had time time to explore. Unfortunately the tide was so far out it was not really possible to swim or snorkel but it was lovely and clean and very picturesque.

In Praslin, we stayed at Castello beach hotel, which is on this beach. Though there is nothing stunning about this beach, it is indeed a very relaxing spot. Seychelles is surrounded with blue water and this beach is no exception. We really wanted to see the sunset from here, but for the two days that we were there, it was either cloudy or pouring, therefore, to or dismay, we missed it. But, if you are living in Castello, and if the weather permits, an entire day or half a day at the beach and the hotel pool, availing their facilities, wouldn’t be a bad option. I don't think swimming or snorkelling is really advisable here, since the waves are slightly strong unlike at Anse Royale or ASDA,

We spent 6 full days in Praslin and decided to visited the south Beaches. This one was definitely below average for Seychelles standard (maybe in another location would be nice). The only advantage is that there is a large car parking and if you want to visit Fond Ferdinand, which I would higly recommend, then you are just across the road. Otherwise, better focused in Lazio and Georgette and maybe La Blague and Volbert.
