Spectacular limestone islands are scattered throughout Phang Nga Bay, a short boat ride from Phuket. Koh Ping-gan, also known as James Bond Island, is one of the most striking islands and features a dramatic rock pinnacle piercing the water. On nearby Ko Pannyi Island (Sea Gypsy Island), there's a village built on stilts, perched over the water with a dramatic monolith hovering behind.

The best establishment in Southern Thailand to experience our national animal - THE ELEPHANT. Close-by to Phang Nga & Khao Lak, bordering a leafy national park - we are dedicated to providing our elephants with the highest quality-of-life. We are against unnatural practices such as elephant dancing and circus tricks, and strive constantly to educate and improve animal welfare.
Visited the park with my wife this morning and she was so excited she couldn't sleep. It lived up to our expectations and more. The trip from Khao Lak was about 45 mins. We were greeted by a very friendly English guide called Duane. After a quick safety chat we were off to see our elephants. There were only 7 guests this morning and each couple or family had an elephant to care for (under supervision of their real mahouts). The elephants are well looked after and loved. After walking up a hill (you could ride the elephant bareback but we chose not to) you got to prepare a basket of yummy treats for your elephant and then feed them. After this you get to ride or walk with your elephant back down the hill ready to give them a bath. Here's the best bit....you get in with them. You wash your elephant and get to spend time in the pool until they decide they have had enough. Ours rolled on her side loving it and another fell asleep.
After this we got to shower off and then have a really tasty lunch. The final part of the experience is to get to see the baby elephants, from a safe distance.
All in all, a truly fabulous experience...thank you.

Really beautiful temple with a spectacular view. If you have bare legs, get a pair of thai pants and go into the temple. Very beautiful, lots of small carved figures. Enjoy the silence. One of the better places to visit.

We are a premium fishing resort providing the ultimate setting to catch and release up to 60 exotic fish species . We offer fishing packages for the beginner or the seasoned angler. Lots of big fish including your best chance at a 50+ kg Arapaima in Thailand. Our average catch rates are 10+ fish per angler day Our lake is surrounded by beautiful Mountains with breathtaking views.
I've been fortunate to visit several times since it opened and EVERY year there are improvements to the experience. Beautiful accommodations on site , first rate fishing swims, with steps to enter the water for photo opps and new salas. And don't miss the restaurant - amazing food , thai , Ribs, burgers ... makes me hunger writing this.
THE FISHING - 33 landed , 12 species over 5 days fishing.
HUGE carp over 110 lbs, Arapaima 250ish , massive Asian redtail and a variety of others .
The guides were great and everyone a pleasure to deal with.

I love travelling to see temples, but this one was a disappointment. It's not well kept. The front cave holds most of the artifacts and statues. There is nothing in the back cave, although in the entrance to that cave you will find where past King and Queens have left their royal monogram in the stone. Most of the monkeys are well fed to the point they refuse the abundance puff bananas and nuts coming at them.

I was so excited about visiting these beautiful Islands, but I couldn’t agree with emmaliinaerika from Finland’s review more. This trip was more than disappointing.
Booked with WOW Andaman and paid a lot (3,900) for a day trip to what I was hoping would be paradise. It would be if it wasn’t overrun with rude, inconsiderate and uneducated Chinese tourists. I predict they will ruin these beautiful Islands.
It’s a long day. We were picked up from the Laguna area of Phuket at 6.30am and were hoping for a nice breakfast after our long minibus journey (1 hour 30/45 ish) but it was pretty grim and we were all hungry as we boarded the speedboat. Boat journey (1 hour 20 mins) was ok but so loud and fast you can only sit there and look at your fellow travellers as you can’t even see out of the windows when sitting down, you can see out of the back of the boat though.
Reached the first beach was very beautiful then on to the first snorkel site, mad rush to get off the boat and then you realise you are just one of many boats who have stopped at the same spot. I have dived and snorkelled in some amazing places, but this was a waste of time. Coral, what was left of it, was dead and quite far down, there were a few fish and that was it. I spent more time avoiding inexperienced snorkellers kicking their fins in your face.
Back on the boat and we could go to another snorkel site or to the main island where lunch was served. We decided to skip the snorkel based on the first stop and head to the beach. I won’t bang on about the rude Chinese tourists again but needless to say there were hundreds if not thousands of people, 95% Chinese at a guess who push, barge, pose and take selfies. Not sure if they even took in their surroundings. We were unable to as it was hard to see it. Most of the beach is closed to swimmers for the speed boats to noisily pick up people and the part that is for swimmers is overcrowded, mainly with people that can’t swim in life jackets.
Lunch was a buffet and pretty poor. We were given plenty of drinks whilst on the boat.
The tour staff we are great, I couldn’t fault them and when I spoke to one about the crowds, he completely agreed with me. I doubt anyone with any authority will read this, but if they do, you must stop the crowds ruining these Islands now or it will become another Phi Phi. Such a shame.
So, I wouldn’t recommend a day trip, if I was able to, I would have done the overnight trip to see the island without the crowds and hope that the snorkelling areas are better.
Waste of time and money.

This was unarguably the best part of our day trip to Phang Nga bay trip, our host/guide named Sulemaan was very informative & helpful. We took package from Great Andaman trips and this experience was really amazing....we were transferred from our ferry to 2-3 seater canoe which was taken inside these majesctic caves with honks all around and this will surely make you feel as if you in Jurrrasic park or Avatar movie. Very interesting to see the amazing creation of nature.

Nice place to visit for everybody. Visitors can get some exercise from walking up the hill and also enjoy fresh waterfall-dip. Better management of the Park is highly recommended as some tourists left wastes and cigarettes on the ground and some even pull out a bamboo tree just for fun!

We stopped by here whilst on the day tour, the Waterfalls were actually working as there had been some recent rain. We both took turns swimming around and taking pics, the water was absolutely freezing- about 18 degrees and definitely recommend swimmer's and a rash vest, mossie spray and a towel.

We have just left Koh Pra Thong island, and although pretty rustic, we had a very lovely time. The Blue Guru group, Nikki, Charrit, Alex, Jen, Helen and Christopher all worked to make diving a very good experience. Despite boat difficulties, they worked to make our dives during the visit possible. We were pleased with the staff's knowledge and friendliness. The other divers we met were fun, as well. We had already booked diving on a boat out to the well known dive sites, so I would have to rate the sites as average, fish were beautiful, but coral was a bit worn. If we hadn't had other plans, we would definitely have gone on one their overnight trips. I also must mention smooth transfers, and just a really welcome feeling on this island. We stayed at Horizon Beach Resort, and although rustic and a little hot at times, Lori, the owner was wonderful. The food here was very good and plentiful. The bungalows were very functional, and made us feel like we were transported to another, simpler time. The pace of life here was perfect after our hectic western lives. So, come for the beach, the diving, and the people, of course!
