The Bison Bar is an art deco inspired cocktail lounge where you can relax, meet friends, and celebrate special occasions. The menu gives you ample choices, starting with the selection of decadent signature cocktails and classic cocktails, moving through a gourmet selection of wines, bubbles and beers, then onto a fine top shelf specialising in single malts. The non-alcoholic options are just as decadent with our custom made mocktails, Bison Beans coffee, and teas. Drinks and conversation are best accompanied with food and the tapas plates are simply delectable. Choose from the selection on meats, vegetables, cheeses, breads and delectables and they will present you with your personally designed platter. Large or small depending on the number of items you include. The Bison Bar is a nod to old fashioned service and ensuring the customer has a great time. From the moment you arrive this is apparent. You are greeted at the door and provided with your own lounge where you sit and relax while you are waited on by the delightful staff, leaving you free to enjoy company, conversation, drinks and tapas. Did I mention that there is a baby grand piano? The live entertainment program focuses on acts which beautifully complement the cocktail lounge vibe. Wednesday from 5pm Thursday from 5pm Friday from 5pm Saturday from 5pm Sunday from 4pm It is located in the courtyard of C-Square Complex, below Majestic Cinemas and adjacent to the train station.
Wow! What a wonderful little gem! Great place with awesome atmosphere, homey with lots of older styled couches and furniture. Tapas styled food, really basic but good. Great cocktail menu, definitely take a cab or a designated driver as you might want to try more than one of their soon to be famous martinis. Can't wait to take a small bunch of friends to one of their live jazz events!

Visited Tuesday 25th October. This is a great lookout, easy to get to with a car and plenty of parking. It has a level path to the viewing platform which makes it great for people in a wheelchair. There is a marker which points out the towns and hills nearby. It also has a shelter with table and benches to enjoy a drink while taking in the view.

This was one of a number of small creative businesses that popped up in 2014/2015 in Howard Street in Nambour. Many of them have now unfortunately closed up shop, or moved location, due to a large increase in rentals at the hands of new building owners. Nambour is still striving to become a creative hub of the Sunshine Coast.

Gifts of Love provides gifts for all occasions. Located in the Nambour Plaza, Opposite Big W.
I have bought many gifts from Gifts of Love over the years. The shop is easy to get to with undercover parking under the shopping complex it is in. It is not a large shop but has a good range of beautiful gifts. I have always found my purchases to be of good quality and the prices to be reasonable. I often find a gift at Gifts of Love after I have looked unsuccessfully at number of other shops closer to where I live. The gifts available are usually special in some way. Many of the gifts stocked have a point of difference. When gift shopping, it is unusual for me not to find a suitable gift at Gifts of Love.

Took our family to this place on a trip to Sunshine Coast.
It was very relaxing to walk through the enclosure and to have butterflies flutter all around you.
The owner was very knowledgeable and passionate about each variety of butterfly and stick insect on display.
The establishment is a great example of sustainable environmentalism eco-tourism for these small, wonderful and often forgotten creatures of the eco-system.
Well worth a look if you passing by or just looking for a location for some mindfulness although you sometimes get over excited children as well !
This is an activity for the whole family to do, even on a wet or hot day.
The butterfly enclosure is not fully wheelchair accessible however I would recommend contacting the manager via their Facebook page to discuss your access arrangements if required.
For a tour group you would also need to check with management so not to over stack the exhibit with too many people.
This is a great, reasonably priced activity for the family. We will return again to visit the next time we are in the area.

Looking to start experimenting more in the kitchen, I came across an advertisement for Kitchen Carnivale in our local newspaper. My first experience was with Amrita and a Mauritian Creole menu. It was an attack of the senses first with smells then with taste. It...MoreThanks for taking the time to review us. We hope you enjoy your next class.

Have you ever wanted to just smash that computer? Been tempted to throw a plate or 2? Want a unique fun adrenaline rush? The Smash Pit is the place for you! We provide the room, the cool (but functional) safety gear, music, crockery or electrical item to smash and of course a bat! Swing Away!
What an adrenelin rush. Great people. Great fun. Destruction therapy lol nothing better than being able to smash the crockery AND A printer without feeling guilty or getting into trouble. Can't wait to show my mates the Go Pro footage. We'll all have a great laugh reliving the moment.
Do yourselves a favour and get to The Smash Pit soon.

The heritage listed Big Pineapple is open daily and we welcome you to visit our iconic property. Climb the inside of the Pineapple and then take the Pineapple Train for an informative train ride through the plantation, rainforest and return to the station for a Pineapple Parfait in the Cafe. If you wish to visit Wildlife HQ Qld Zoo you can jump off at the Koala Station and enjoy all they have to offer then all aboard when you are finished for the trip back to the Big Pineapple. Train rides are $5 each and children under 3 are free. So much to do and enjoy a fun day out at the iconic Big Pineapple. As well as daily trading hours, enjoy our Saturday Markets which are on from 6:30am till 1pm weekly. Fresh food, bric-a-brac, art gallery and so much more to explore in our indoor/outdoor market place.
We visited the Big Pineapple in December 2017. The structure itself was impressive but that was where it ended for us. We were disappointed to find out that they don't grow Pineapples at all there anymore, and there were absolutely no fresh pineapple products for sale or many products made from Pineapple at all (we had been looking forward to a pineapple juice at the very least).
There was no longer anything to see on the train ride unless you were visiting the zoo (which we were not interested in doing). So we ended up staying 20 minutes and then leaving without purchasing anything.
I'm sure this was a great attraction back in it's day- I really hope the new owners can think of some new activities they could do and/or revamp the menu at the shop to keep the attraction going into the future.
