The weather was nice when we went on a boating trip at Millstatter See, for one hour (complete tour is 2 hour) and we enjoyed it. We boarded at Millstatt boat station. We left our car close to the boat station at the parking which was free of charge.
The ship arrived according to timetable. The staff of the boat were very helpful. We took coffie and it was good and with reasonable price. The trip was very nice and relaxing. The view from the boat to the Mountains is priceless. After it we took a short walk in the city park and old town. Very nice place for visit, I recommend it.

A most wonderful walk to the top of the mountain to enjoy the Granattor and the views down to Millstatt lake. If you are lucky to have good weather, then it is an awesome experience.

We started at Swaigerhütte. Getting there by car was not easy as the road is small and full of sharp bends.
Walking to Alexanderhütte gave an impressive view of Milstättersee!
When you re taking a kid of 4 years or younger, be sure to use some sort of carrier.
The hike is well worth it!

We enjoyed the small private beach area here which had showers and a place to eat and drink.
When we went there was a floating climbing wall in the lake which was exceptional fun.....after finally reaching he top!
The only slight downside was hearing an English family as on the beach....we go to places to escape the english (and we are English!) they were a tad common with kids running around but all in all a great place to stop and relax with great views
