This temple is within the city of Madikeri, and quite peaceful. There is a small parking space available outside the premises and a short walk, then a flight of steps, is required to reach the actual temple.
A fifteen minute visit, but the stone floors can get real hot during the day time.

Chelvara Falls,
&
Chomakundu Hills, Vijarpet, Coorg.
• A natural waterfall formed by small streams on the tributary of Kaveri (near Cheyyandane village – Google gives the correct location) {16 km from Virajpet}.
• This Beautiful and scenic waterfall and surrounding make a huge gift by mother nature and is a part of a private property!
• Chomakundu (Separately Reviewed) is another mountain Area full of nature (On the way) with many Mini-Trekking options (Safer)
• HONESTLY speaking only to visit the Chelavara Falls not very worth (there is nothing else to see), as we are not allowed to reach the water, as it is dangerous (Unfortunately, many human lives were lost here). Chelavara Falla is said to be 100 Feet deep, with the water flow having high suction, where even expert swimmers can lose their control. Overall, Abbey Fall is much better!
• We suggest to make the trip more enjoyable, to visit (Bike reaches almost the 2nd & the top peak) KABBE HILLS (VIEW POINT) which is roughly 2 KMs from here. (Separately reviewed)
• We passed two Resorts (Coorg Summer Palace & “Now or Never Land”) to reach Chelavara Falls
• One can see the falls after walking after walking a few meters (into the forest) from the parking.
• Kindly respect the “Danger signs Boards”- they are for our safety!
• Isolated place – NO FOOD or water (No proper Restaurants, particularly for Vegies).
• Some stretch of the road also is poor (Accept it as 1 Hr 30 Mins drive).

Its called 'Abbi' falls (Abbi means waterfall in local language). The British named is Jessey Waterfalls, in memory of Jessey the daughter of Madikeri's first chaplain.
We went there in monsoon season, which is a great time since the falls is full of water.
There is a guided path for you to view the falls. You cannot dive into the water since it is tumultuous.
Enjoy the beautiful falls, don't try swimming here.

Kote Betta, Coorg
A Great Place to enjoy a full day break; 32 KMs (we took 1 Hour +; quite bad road for a while). You can also Trek if you are sound in trekking (difficult for beginners). You can reach almost all the way up to the top, in a vehicle itself.
Trekking & Camping:
Kindly check with the locals for this; sometimes, these are not permitted.
Trekking is Aprox 18 KMs (one out of many tracks, the locals say) – with a guideline Pathway. Due to poor traffic, it is almost covered with grass – the higher you go, the steeper it becomes. The views are very beautiful!
An Ancient Lord Shiva temple at the top is the only thing we could find - almost no crowd. For the awesome views from the top of the hill, it is worth climbing, if it suits you – or else, stop at the “View Point” {Kindly refer to our Photos & Google}. One has to pack your FOOD and Water, without any doubt. There are many streams which can provide you Natural drinking water – be selective.
The chirping of birds, adds beauty to our mother nature. Best for meditation. Better be with a group than alone.
Not recommended for elderly people & Children or people having breathing problem. Try to avoid Summer; early mornings are the best to climb and evening to decent!

There are two ancient Temple like buildings as you enter the Rajas tomb complex, which you will think is the tomb. But you will be surprised to note that they are not tombs but temples in worship of Lord Shiva. And the tombs that people go to see are at one corner of the garden on which Nandi Cow is sitting on. There are two tombs in total. Entry is free, maybe you can visit as just a casual walk in the park.

Be ready for some steep hills. A number of greens are perched on top of steep slopes. Friendly greeting and very reasonable pricing--less than 500 rupees for green fees. Fairways marked with white stakes; if within the stakes, them you can improve your lie on the very rudimentary grass. Greens are smooth but uneven, so don't expect to sink many putts. An island green is under construction at #10. The clubhouse is in play for wayward shots on #11 and #13.

The activity center is located one of the most stunning landscapes. The zip lines which has a good view over looking the hills is a fabulous experience. Walking through enchanted ancient forest left me speechless! A must visit if you're going Coorg.Thank you for visiting, hope to see you again.
