The city of Mahabaleshwar is a pinnacle of greenery, boasting one of the only evergreen forests in the world. The landscape abounds with lush hills, valleys and lookout points such as Lodwick Point, Arthur's Seat and Babington Point, all of which offer spectacular views. Trot along on horseback for a delightful four-legged tour of the gorgeous Venna Lake area, and savor juicy native strawberries, mulberries and corn.

The first brick oven pizzeria in India and still the most popular. Guests drive few hours just to eat the pizza's and pasta's here.
Tucked into one corner away from the main Mahabaleshwar market, Olive Garden is worth the drive upto Kate's Point / Brightland Resort.
The ambience- Spaciously spread out, the destination has the perfect set up for a laidback lunch. However, the views from the corner tables is not as splendid as expected.
The service - Prompt and very hospitable. No complaints.
The food - I'd rate it at 4.5 on 5. The 0.5 less since the food presentation could be better.
1- Wood fried pizza ...Basilico Margerita Pizza with pesto sauce and Italian chicken... an interesting and tasty preparation. Good choice to have on the lunch table.
2- The chicken spaghetti bolognaise - Decent preparation. No complaints.
3- Tiramisu - Great preparation. A good try. I recommend.
Do visit whenever at Brightland / or in Mahabaleshwar

We visited Treacher and Company restaurant which is located in the premises of Shreyas hotel close to ST bus stand during our holidays in Mahabaleshwar. We found that Seating area was small but ambience was good. We had tried chicken sizzler for dinner, which was hot and yummy. We found that 2 types of veg and nonveg sizzlers were available - large at 500 bucks and mini at 350 bucks. Chinese is also available here but they have a limited menu. We may visit again for the love of hot sizzlers in cold Mahabaleshwar.

We decided not to stay at Mahabaleshwar, but drive through it, visit a couple of view points, and then have lunch there before heading off to Pune. Our search for a decent place for lunch led us to The Grapevine and while I found the craze for Mahabaleshwar (including its strawberries) a bit hyped, it was probably the meal at The Grapevine that more than compensated for the same and cleared any lingering doubt in our minds as to whether paying for the detour was worth it. From the mocktail to the main course to the dessert ... each item was prepared to perfection. The only flipside is to find a parking, as all the tourist taxis of the city are parked on the road in front, but luckily we were in a tourist car and the driver parked it near the Petrol Pump close by. If you have difficulty in locating the place ask for Fountain Village hotel near the petrol pump. The Grapevine sits just on the other side of the road.

This is a beautiful old bungalow with wonderful views of the venna lake, a well maintained big lawn, a small football field, lots of flowers everywhere and the best parsi/continental cuisine you can find in Mahabaleshwar or Pune for that matter. The rooms are modern and very comfortable, the bathrooms are almost as big as the rooms and spotlessly clean and the people are wonderful. We made friends with their beautiful big dogs Shadow & Tysie who did a great job of keeping our 4yr old very busy and happy. This is a lovely place to relax , make friends and watch the world go by. Can't wait to go back!

Mulberry Inn is a Small Restaurant located at a place called Metgutad on the Panchgani Mahabaleshwar Road & is about 7 kms away from the main Mahabaleshwar market. They have a limited menu offering both Veg & Non Veg food for Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner as well. They are part of the Mulberry Inn Hotel that offers decent Rooms to stay. Their most famous dish is the Matka Chicken Handi which is served in an Earthen Pot & is quite tasty. They also make nice Tandoori Roti's, but from Maida & not Atta. A decent place to eat at while driving on the way to Mahabaleshwar from Panchgani, if you have not been here before.

After looking the rating on trip adviser we decided to visit this hotel, but food taste and quality is ordinary. Not bad , but nothing special. I think only reason they have good reviews because there is not much competition around it. overall good food. something is better than nothing.
