Khao lak - lam ru national park is actually huge, but we have so little time so we only went to khao lak beach part. The beach itself is nothing like any other Beaches in Thailand. There are rocks everywhere. Although You cannot really swim there, the landscape is amazing to look at.

Build Factory is an indoor/outdoor nightclub. Inside live bands & DJs. Outside, comfy outdoor furniture, music, food and televisions during sporting events. It is by far the best place at night in Khao Lak. The outdoor area is cool to chill, inside really good DJs and the bands are of high quality. Karaoke Rooms are available.
Only big night club in town, lots of people, not only turist also locals ( wich is nice ). Big arena for dancing inside, but if you like little bit more relaxed feeling they have nice Terrace outside where you can be seated and enjoy table service.

We went in the evening to this market. Was good fun, yes all the same goods you can buy elsewhere but the market has a nice chilled atmosphere. Food was really tasty and well cooked - I am normally weary of eating street food abroad due to the hygiene issues but we had no problems. Would recommend for an evening visit.

An art gallery in Bang Niang, Khao Lak offering customers a wide range of original and reproduced art work. Paintings are produced on quality canvas using the best oil paints (Winton). Bring your favourite photo and the artists at In Gallery will be able to brig it to life on canvas.
A few months ago I celebrated my second wedding anniversary, my challenge, find the perfect gift to give my wonderful wife. My wife had always admired our wedding album cover so I sent it to In gallery to have it turned into a portrait, imagine my wife's glee as she passed herself in our hall three weeks later, yes it was delivered that fast. By the way I live in Ireland and the gallery is in Thailand, Thanks In and Maria for such a wonderful memory.

This is a vey quiet beach. There is near nothing on it for beach goers besides nice sand and warm water. There is one restuarant and a few resorts that have security at their beach entrance if you try to enter. Otherwise, nothing. No massage places, no places to eat besides the restaurant near the south end of the beach. Be prepared to bring drinks and food if you go, or plan to walk to another beach if you need that. It is quiet, which might be the objective of some beach goers.

Pakarang Cape: a place to visit!
We found is very quiet with only 6 other people within 1 km. You can find a lot of seashell and corals (some light shoes or flip-flop recommended!) and a great view for many km around, especially if you go there at low-sea time to walk more "into" the sea ;)
A sunset romantic moment can be, also. Left side view over nice lighted Beaches.
Is the border between Khao Lak busy Beaches, plenty with seaside resorts with private beach sections, and a 6-7km long beach strip with only about 10 resorts and 15 bars/bistros: Coconut Beach, Ao Thong = White Sand Beach, Pak Weep Beach.
We start this 3 Beaches 1 day walk & swim trip here, it was a challange beach walk between trees and rocks to arrive to Coconut Beach. But affordable.

We were like kids with cameras rather than butterfly nets ....we had a great afternoon here snapping away at the many species of butterfly's and also visited the orchid farm next door admission was £10 for 2 adults some people said it was too expensive.
but what can u get for a tenner back in the UK and it all goes towards the preservation of the orchids and butterfly's for the future so many generations to come can share their beauty you can also buy seedling orchids in bottles to have a try at growing these exotic beauty's

We enjoyed the show very much and so tastefully done. Costumes were beautiful. You are given the opportunity to take photographs and they sang to sound tracks but were very realistic.x
