Recommended visit if one is visiting manipur. It is a beautiful lake with circles of crops floating on top. One can do a boat ride and actually can stand on top of these circles. The drive from city to lake is also smooth and beautiful with lot of places to see in between.

There were originally some 950 burials in Imphal War Cemetery, but after hostilities had ceased, the Army Graves Service brought in graves from two smaller Cemeteries in Imphal and from isolated positions in the surrounding region. The cemetery now contains 1,600 Commonwealth burials of the Second World War.
This is a perfect place to visit if you are war historic oholic. I had visited this place on a cold September morning and it was awesome. Lines after lines of graves of those fallen during WWII in Imphal - made me prouder. This place is very easily reachable.

After having visited the temple more than 2 years ago, I have been to Imphal many a times. Because of the history of the temple, I decided to visit the temple again and see its glory. This time we checked the timings and wanted to be there when temple is open. We went very early in the morning and found this a beautiful experience.

I myself is a Japanese.
It took a while to find the caretaker keeping the key for the gate.
This is a battle field of Japanese army and British army during WWII.
Too sad, both army had Indian soldiers.
The monument itself doesn't have significance I suppose.
But the history, lives of soldiers sacrificed here are unforgettable.
This is a place to wish the world peace.

Artist Gurumayum Shyamsunder Sharma, belong to a great family of artists. All his sculptures carved out of a single root incorporating its natural shape into design. The themes of his work derived from nature related to the mythological of Manipur and reflections on its turbulent history. The envisages and epitomize within itself the rich culture, heritage, traditional and history of the state.
