Perched on an island a mere 95 kilometers from the city of São Paulo, this bustling beach town seems a world away from the gargantuan urbanity of the state capital. Among its charms, Guarujá counts 23 separate, stunning beaches, all ripe for swimming, sunning and surfing. Families head to the beach at Enseada; singles, it's all about you at Pernambuco.

This beach is part of a private condominium complex we stayed with friends who have beach house, as access to beach restricted with guards on gates, If you visit early in the day you may be allowed access only a few allowed into complex daily as complex very secure, Tourists stand better chance of access.

A business associate of mine has a family friend that owns property here (yes, it's that kind of you have to know someone to get in kind of place) and it is gorgeous. The beach is quiet, clean and beautiful with huge waves. The homes along the beach are also huge and stunningly beautiful. This is definitely a "surfer" hang-out - you'll have fun watching the surfers ride the waves on this great Brazilian beach!

To get to Guaruja from Sao Paulo city, you can take a bus and be there in 2 hours, all the way , you'll get gorgeous views of the Mountains and green lands, its a very pleasant ride, safe.
you can visit many Beaches at Guaruja , all of them with white sand and just a couple of steps away from local food restaurants (very affordable) , but there is not much to see besides seashore . -

Wonderful afternoon on the Tombo beach. It' the best place in Guaruja to spend time resting or Surfing. The size of the beach is less than 1km and had two hills one from either side. Sitting on the beach you will see an island, known "Lighthouse Gizzard". Sellers will offer everything you need, If you want you can try to drink a "caipirinha" the most traditional drink in Brazil.

Next to our hotel, clean n spacious. An island off shore is close enough to walk too, and the sea creates a double tide effect, that is rare to see.

This place is the hangout of many Reggae fans. There are also families and teenagers. The beach is beautiful and can be accessed after a 30minutes walk through a path in the jungle. The walk is very light, and you dont have to have special gear or anything. But dont expect an "abandoned" or secret place, its always full on the summer.

Beautiful shoreline with white sand and a rather calm sea. Your need sun protection and definitely stay below some shade or palm tree.

The acess to this 200 meters wide beach must be done by car, because it is located between Enseada beach and Pernambuco beach. In the middle of the road that links these two Beaches, you have the acess going up an hill.On his top,in the other side, you can see the Eden beach down, you have a little track to reach it.Topless is reported like allowed.
