It was very interesting for adults but our 3, 5 and 7 year old boys didn't get that much out of it. We went on a Thursday evening when they had actors playing the parts of actual gaolers that stayed in the gaol. The boys enjoyed going in one of the cells to get a picture and running around. I don't think I would take the kids back again.

The walk across the old CPR railway bridge is one of my favourites. On a sunny fall day, with a walk along the Sifto Trail as an add-on, it was simply splendid. We went with friends who don't get to the Goderich area very often. They, too, enjoyed themselves. Anyone visiting this region must take in this attraction with its marvellous views of Goderich and the Maitland (Menesetung) River. Highly recommended!

I was shocked at how large the museum is and the volume of artifacts it contains. Wow. I had planned to be in and out and was there for...lost track...at LEAST an hour. It seemed to be never ending. We took advantage of the multi...MoreWe're so glad you enjoyed your visit! We hope you come back again soon!!

The pass to enter provincial parks for free in ceebreation of Canada's 150th birthday allowed you to enter more parks than you usually would on a daytripping budget.
Point Farms Provincial Park near Goderich Ontario has nice walking trails where dogs are welcome. Parking was free.
Look forward to going back even when I have to pay.

We love this spot from the day it was built. Gentle sloping beach tha gets warmer than most in the hotter days. Always great for the kids and very relaxing. You would almost think you were on an island or down south.

Great place to visit with a historic past. Nice view from above the beach. Wasn't busy when we visited and was a peaceful place with enjoyable view.

Lots of interesting street vendors on Saturdays and Sundays. Starts around 8 and wraps by 2PM. Historic Square fun to drive around, great directional sign to the beach. Did a great job of putting things together since the tornado in 2011. You might never know it struck except for the one church they never rebuilt, and the street of brand new replacement houses just off the square. Got a great T-shirt there.

Amazing expierence at Falls reserve. The front gate honour system is a little difficult to understand but the park rangers come by often to make sure everything is in order.
The lots are extremely organized and big!
I reserved online and was able to see each site prior to booking, definitely a bonus.
Beautiful pristine hiking trails, lots of signs directing you where to go.
The falls itself is a 5 minute walk from the 15amp area (mennestesung) I think...
The falls are gorgeous and great for swimming.
Have to buy wood locally, but it is rather expensive at park so we bought just down the street for 8.00 and you fill your own big bag.
Overall I would absolutely go camping here again! Recommended.

This is a good place to start a visit to Goderich and area. It is staffed most of the year and the people are very knowledgeable and willing to assist with questions. They not only have maps and brochures of the area attractions but also have information for the surrounding regions. A washroom is available inside. If you arrive after hours there is usually a small supply of maps by the door. While there take a minute or two to relax by the Fountain beside the building.

The beach has a long Rotary Club maintained boardwalk great for a relaxing stroll along the shores of Lake Huron. There are nice Beaches for kite sailing, gently Surfing, and swimming - be aware that this lake is slow to warm in the early part of the summer, although the swimming area is shallow enough to be warmer faster. There are lifeguards on duty during the day and the swimming area is well marked and sheltered. There are bathrooms and picnic tables. There is a restaurant down there as well as a fish (locally caught) and chip stand. One can also get great views of the Saltmine and the the harbour is active with grain and salt lake freighters.
