This lovely island is accessed by ferry, ask for a return ticket costing 2 euros On the island there are toilets, sun beds and two bars. The bars sell drinks and snacks all reasonably priced. The island has miles of sans so lovely fir walking but the sea is really rough, constant waves so not good for small children

I stayed in Fuseta for 3 weeks in August 2015 and had a fantastic time with the folks at Your Algarve Adventure. Excellent professional instructors, personal coaching, the whole team very warm and welcoming and a great friendly and fun atmosphere. Beautiful Beaches with flat water lagoons one side and and the sea on the other. This part of the Ria Formosa natural park is a fantastic, unspoilt and uncrowded kitesurfing spot. I can't imagine a nicer place to learn how to kitesurf and will definitely come back to carry on learning!

Known as the Algarve's "hidden Gem" - Bela Romao is a very unique 14 acre ocean front property with private & secluded onsite accommodation, private dining and grass croquet lawn. Bela Romao itself is an exclusive private residence and also a private members croquet club, touted as one of the Algarve's "Secret Romantic Escapes". It is the 1st & only croquet club in Portugal, perched high overlooking the beautiful Ria Formosa paradise Islands and national parks. The property is nestled into an oasis of 14 acres of tropical Gardens, a fun gold tiled swimming pool, petanque court, eccentric fun club house with a Buddha bar, upside down Xmas tree hanging from the ceiling full of trinkets left from visiting guests, English telephone box(filled with cocktails and aperitifs). After having visited the club in April 2015 we came back again in April 2016, this time as a group of 8 croquet players from Latvia. Bela Romao club is excellent place for a croquet holiday. Can only recommend for everybody who wants a relaxing stay and gourmet meals, as Sarah is a top class chef. Absolutely cozy place, rooms and kitchens well equipped, everything clean, hosts very friendly.
Already started to plan our next visit for 2017.

The Gypsy Market, as our guide described it, was on Saturday morning, the first day of our stay in the Algarve so was worth visiting. The stalls of clothes, shoes and presents were all much cheaper than at home but, for me the highlight was the display of fruit, vegetables and fish.
The fish market had a much greater selection of fresh fish than we ever see at home but sells out quickly so an early start is recommend.

The beach is beautiful and very clean. I usually walk, but it is possible to go out on the little train which owes its existence to the tuna fishery of bygone days. Other reviewers have referred to the "anchor cemetery". This also is a relic of the times when tuna were caught and landed here and there is a museum within the buildings behind the beach which explains the network of nets, anchored to the sea floor, into which the fish were herded. It is well worth a visit. I find the restaurants less worthy of praise. You are a captive clientele. Quality is mediocre at best and prices are high.

Went to Culatra by local ferry, which goes regularly throughout the day and is inexpensive.
We walked through the village of Culatra and across to the Atlantic side of the island, this walk is along a raised boardwalk and didn’t take very long. The beach is fantastic and deserted, but there are no facilities, even the toilet was boarded up in November! The beach was completely deserted in November.
We are not sunbathers so we walked along the beach and collected shells of which there are loads. Be aware if you have small children that there is a lot of swell and big waves, even on a calm day.
We walked to Farol along the beach, although it has a different name it is all part of the one island, the walk took about 45 minutes and you can get the return ferry from there or walk back to Culatra.
There were lots of restaurants and café’s open in Culatra but at this time of year Farol was a ghost town with everything shut.
This island is well worth a visit.

Kite Culture Algarve(KCA): a kitesurf/SUP school in Fuzeta/Algarve. Kite- and Stand Up Paddle lessons in shallow water from the natural parc Ria Formosa. We provide boat tours with dolphin- and birdwatching, sailing, seahorse snorkeling, wakeboard/subwing/hydrofoil and so many more activities to make you an unforgettable (watersports) holiday!
I had the pleasure of working with Otto and his family through the HelpExchange network, as well as, spending time with them during kite Surfing excursions. Both Otto and Raoul are extremely passionate about teaching; they take time to explain all different aspects of the sport for beginers to the more experienced. They take pride in helping students improving skills at all levels. Bringing you to a one of a kind location that you can not experience with any other instructors.
It is also very helpful that both speak multiple languages, which may help alievate any qualms for the international travelers seeking to learn or experience Algarve Kite Culture.
I would highly recommend Kite Culture Algrave to anyone looking to spend time in a beautiful part of Portugal and experience a truly athentic adventure kite Surfing.
