A wonderful and challenging hike up (use two walking sticks!) leads you up to this mountain lake surrounded by Mountains. Plan to spend some time there exploring, wading, jumping in (brrrr) and playing. We also ate lunch in the cafe there. Unparalleled view!

This is a relatively easy walk, good for most any day. We walked the trail on a rainy/misty day, which made the rushing Waterfalls even more spectacular. The walk provides views that aren't accessible from the road. Downside is having to walk the same route back because the bus back is rather expensive. It was, however, convenient to take the free local bus to the trailhead and leave our car parked in Cauterets. Very enjoyable.

Tasty for breakfast. Lots to choose from! There isn't anywhere to sit though if that's what you wanted. Nice grab and go.

A beautiful place on the way up to the Pont d'Espagne. There is limited parking on this road full of hair pins. Well worth stopping to admire this force of nature and the wonderful general setting.

Nice ski resort in the mountain. Great Cable car ride up to it from the town. Reasonably priced ski passes. Slopes were limited and maybe not suitable for total beginners. Great scenery from the top. Plenty of snow in April which is at the end of the season.

We stopped in here hoping to learn about the area and perhaps get some information about scenic places to visit or walk. Very disappointed as the employee was too busy chatting to his friend to even acknowledge we came into the building. There's much more information to be found elsewhere. This place was a waste of time.
