Wake up before breakfast and walk or run at this park. It's unbelievable smell of the sea and the forest all around you. View at clear blue sea and sky through the trees is fascinating. Just make sure you do not forget the breakfast and a wife who awaits you :)

There are essentially three major beach areas on Rab: (1) Suha Punta and surroundings which are in a nature reserve area where you have to park centrally around one of the big hotels, (2) Lopar where you have sandy Beaches but a bit more crowded, (3) a so-called "party beach" at the other end of the island in the direction of the ferry terminal.
We really enjoyed the Suha Punta beach. It is rocky though - but if you are ok with that, it is a great place to relax. Many families use the beach and it is not as crowded as the beach we went to on Lopar.
On the grounds of the Imperial Hotel there are also nice wooden umbrellas and loungers to rent (around 60 Kuna for two loungers and an umbrella) which was convenient. The hotel restaurant was also very good value for money.
Overall, we can recommend this beach. Family friendly, clear waters, pleasant people.

This beach is a short water taxi ride from the town of Rab, Croatia and it's well worth the investment.
Beach Bar, Restaurant, showers and toilets all of high standard and the nude beach was just that. Almost no textiles.
A must do to those that love to travel light.

Lopar beach is one the few sandy beach you can find on Rab island. Facilities are goo (umbrellas available for rent on the beach, bars, restaurants,..). Can be reached by car.
Was quite crowded and there is only shallow water (do not expect actually swimming).
Personally I much preferred going to the small rocky bays on the southern, wilder area of he island (you can reach these bays easily, using a taxi boat from Rab harbour; about 30-40 min trip, just take care to ask and to negotiate the price: we paid 450 kuna once ...300 the next time)

Very limited parking, not to crowded beach. There are actually three of four Beaches at Pudarica. Beware of FKK in one separated section. "Santos" is a popular concert area attached to a dock. Didn't like that location although it's a sandy beach, but went to a blue water hydrant and path down to a nice beach.
Clean water. Rocky. Partially shallow, suitable for kids. No shade. Will have sea urchins.

This review isn't only about St. Christopher Tower but about Rab Town, the capital of Rab Island. I visited from Zadar on an independent day tour: I had to take a bus to Senj, then another bus to Rab Town that gets into a ferry to cross the narrow strait between Stinica to Misnjak, the harbor in the south of the island.
Reb Town is a lovely seaside town full of medieval and Renaissance buildings well worth a visit. As you walk along its narrow silent streets you have glimpses of the ever present blue Adriatic. The Tower of St. Christofer offers wonderful views over the town, the sea and a leafy nearby park. There are many small restaurants, coffee-shops and a wide range of accommodation possibilities. Sea sports are available in Rab Town, as well as tours throughout the island. I visited on October 1st., so the season was over, but I found all the attractions open and it was warm enough for a swim.
Tips: If you have your own wheels, remember you have to get into the ferry for Rab Island at the new jetty at Stinica, not at the old one at Jablanac; if you travel with public transportation, find out which bus will reach Senj at the right time to connect with the bus to Rab Town, not just to the harbor in Misnjak, because there is no public transportation from Misnjak to Rab Town and they are several Km. away.

This place was fabulous. Hardly any people, very isolated. Sandy beach. Skinny dipping a serious possibility if you're into that and most people do! Lovely!

A wonderful trip around the island of Rab in Croatian Adriatic (north part of Adriatic called Kvarner). The trip starts of the arrival of the catamaran in the port of Lopar. This big catamaran boat has a glass bottom. The ship sails slowly at sea and rides around the island of Rab. It's nice to watch the bottom of the sea through the glass bottom Catamarans, or just drive up and look at the beautiful coast and countryside. On the boat are around 50 passengers. Boat just looks like the captain of a past time The ship was completely silent and look very safe for me, and therefore my children especially enjoyed the journey. Price was not too high for such a wonderful trip, at some 20 euros for adult travelers , and children are the vehicles for free .
