Ravagni since 1421

Ravagni since 1421 is a family business which is mentioned for the first time in 1421 at the Florence Archivies and it's included since 1980 in the list of Italian firms. It's pduction oil, wine, vinegar, seasoned oils, soaps, oil based creams and others particular products are handmade and following their season potentiality. The products are not only sold worldwide, but are used by the family itself, family which moved in this area already since the end of the 12th century. We tried and are still trying to keep the working methods as traditional as possible even if many times quality certifications laws and health laws try to bring you to the omologations of perfumes and tastes relatively to the products you normally find in the commerce.Certainly our products are not the best of the Italy but they surely are simple and true. The Proffesor Giacomo Bartolomeiof Ravagni also prints and edits local and Italian history books and not only this.We have real but also virtual shops but we prefer to invite famalies, school and people coming from all over the world in order that they can see, smell and work if they want...

THIS IS NOT THE SAME GROUP IN THE OTHER NEGATIVE REVIEW. This is a new complaint. We had a wonderful tour. He is a character. Our large group placed a large order. I will refrain from name calling. It has been over two months and the excuses keep coming. NO WINE, NO OLIVE OIL, NO GRAPPA, NO VINEGAR. He has not shipped a blessed thing. Seemed like a nice man, but he charged our card lots of money. We have heard of many complications, except for the billing which went through our card and was paid months ago.
I would not hesitate to take the tour and cash n carry. Until this is resolved, I would hesitate from having anything paid for that will ship home. I will remove or ammend this if and when our order ships.

Anghiari

We made a trip to Anghiari to visit the main Bussati store - but what we found was a beautiful and picturesque village with warm and charming people. Not many Americans travel here, as it more of a destination for other Europeans. The very hilly streets are not for the faint of heart and were a little daunting on the day we were there with the rain. We ate lunch and just spent some time walking around. Very pretty.

Museo della Battaglia e di Anghiari

Welcome to the museum that celebrates and tells the story of the Battle of Anghiari and the lost painting by Leonardo da Vinci, along with the history of this ancient town in Tuscany. Prehistory, Roman antiquities, ancient fire-arms and the important Battle of Anghiari, the Museum retraces the development of this part of Tuscany through reconstructions, objects and historical records.

More a series of text-heavy information boards (in Italian and English only?) accompanied by a limited number of exhibits, I nonetheless found this an interesting introduction to the Anghiari / Sansepolcro area. The geology and history plugged gaps in my schoolboy knowledge of Etruscan, Roman...MoreThanks you for your review. The staff is committed every day to improve the quality of the museum (and the gaps of which you speak). We are pleased that you had still enjoyed it. Come back soon and you will see many improvements!

You will fall in love with this store. We ordered a duvet cover and had it shipped home. It just arrived and it is beautiful, I can't wait to sleep under it. We bought several small kitchen towels to give as gifts, and a table runner. The quality is amazing. They do speak English, and are helpful especially if you want to order something to be made.

Grantfield Gallery is a welcome addition to Via Mazzini in Anghiari. This lovely side street is fast becoming a go-to destination for tourists. The art has been carefully sourced and selected with regular events throughout the year introducing the artists.
We are already the proud owners of a painting by Vannesa Grant whose pieces are for sale through the gallery and I have several others on my Christmas list (hint, hint)...

After coming to Anghiari many times I wandered into this beautiful building, recently opened after renovations. There is a Roman wine cellar and lovely sculpture exhibition. The custodian was very helpful and informative.
