I shouldn't eat pasta, but every now and then you come across a restaurant where it is so delicious it is worth the weight gain. This is such a place. Home made and utterly divine I had - on separate occasions - the ravioli with classic butter and sage, and another time tagliatelle with hare (the rabbit version). I was unable to leave any on my plate. Both were simply fantastic.
All their dishes were good. They accommodated my veggie husband with a fabulous veggie anti pasti platter. I also loved the rabbit with capers.
Run by a charming couple. She cooks. He waits. How does he have such slim hips working there?!
And such good value.

Had a delicious and amazing value lunch as a family here. The bruschetta were generous portions with a variety of toppings. The pasta dishes were truly scrumptious. Beautiful and interesting sauces/fillings and al dente pasta which we accompanied with a mixed salad including lusciously ripe tomatoes. Commandeered the bijoux outdoor Seating area which was rearranged for us with 2 high chairs. Lovely spot in the old town, surrounded by historic buildings and flowers. More Seating available indoors. Service was good and accommodating.

Attended a wedding reception here in August 2014. Fabulous experience. Stunning location in beautiful countryside. Atmospheric old building. Superb service by all staff. Delicious food, multiple courses, extra servings offered as soon as you said you liked something. The anti pasti could have been a meal in itself. Free flowing vino. A truly wonderful wedding reception. Would love to return to stay at the hotel as a guest.

This is a lovely place with terrific food. We just stopped in randomly--didn't read reviews or anything. The owners clearly take pride in what they do. Everything we had was delicious, and the service was friendly. I'd return. Also, I did not find it to be overpriced. I thought the prices were exactly on the mark for a restaurant of this sort.

Il Feudo del Vicario is not expensive. A 3 course meal for 2 people with a bottle of water and 2 dessert wines but excluding wine is 70 Euros.
You can select your wine from their cellar and this was the weakest part of the whole meal for us. I was looking to spend between 30 and 55 Euros for a nice bottle of red, but there simply wasn't anything at that range (spent 10 minutes looking). There was a range of low quality (high markup) wine up to about EUR 27 and then the next wine (a Brunello) started at EUR 65. Maybe previous diners had cleared out all of the stock at the in-between price points but otherwise the shelves were more or less full so really strange for a restaurant which has a wine cellar.
Similar to other restaurants in the region, I would suggest not bothering with the local beef (Chianini or Filetto al Chianti in Il Feudo’s case) as it has very little flavour, but rather go for the local pork which seems to be the regional specialty and the pasta which they do very well (cooked "al dente").
All in all, it was a very nice meal at a very reasonable price that was let down by the limited selection of wine.

La Nena is located near the top of the short main street. We tried to book through their website but they don't seem to pick up these requests and so we asked our hotel to book La Nena instead.
The restaurant has a touch of old world charm with tiled floors, wood panelling and tied back curtains. The table settings are very nice with quality wine glasses and upmarket blue water glasses and a candlestick finishing off the setting.
There wasn't much choice for those who don't eat meat with no fish dishes and only pasta or eggs with truffles to suit vegetarians. The beef carpaccio starter was good without being great. The bean soup was hearty and almost a meal in itself.
There is plenty of selection for meat eaters with a range of grilled meats available. I chose the mixed grill which was delicious. The pork was the best and I found this to be the case wherever we ate in this region. Several restaurants, La Nena included, offer premium Chianina beef (Tuscan breed) but I generally was underwhelmed by its flavour (although I didn’t try it at La Nena). I can say that the local grilled pork is delicious throughout the region and is actually a fair bit cheaper, which of course allows you to splurge a little more on the wine. La Nena has a very good selection of quality red wines and we really liked the Villa Bernetti Cabernet Toscana Tenuta Vitereta.
A very good meal in a traditional setting for a very reasonable price.

Using beef from their own valchianina cattle and other locally sourced produce this is a special meal. Extra care is taken on both preparation and presentation making it stand out from the many other good but slightly samey restaurants in the Caprese/Anghiari area.
The zucchini flowers stuffed with ricotta and goats cheese smothered in sliced truffles were superb and then the star of the show - a perfectly cooked and season fillet steak.
A good selection of wines and a very friendly welcome and service makes for a very enjoyable evening.

If you are looking for pizza by the slice, this is the only game in town. And the pizza is excellent, especially if you get it fresh out of the oven. There is a strategy involved with ordering at the favorite local hangout. You basically need to time it as such that you are at the counter waiting when the pizza comes out of the oven. The pizza's are usually made up of a variety of different types of slices. If you are next in line you will get first crack. The owner's are very nice. Not much in the way of service going on here, just walk up to the counter and order what you want.
We usually go next door to the bar and sit on their patio and order drinks and bring some slices over when we get hungry, which is encouraged by both venues.

This is not the best pizza in Italy, as one reviewer says. It is average pizza at a very inexpensive price. That makes it a good value, but does not improve the taste. The restaurant was very crowded. I suspect that the price was the draw. It certainly was not the ambiance or the service (unless the customer was especially good at carrying his own food). I recommend the restaurant, but suspect that you could get much better (or the same quality) food at higher prices.

Friends took me to Bar Pizzeria Baldaccio as it is one of there favourite Pizzerias. They drive 1/2hr to get there so I knew it would be good - and it was.
The staff were lovely (they look after my friends dog called Angelo or JJ for short just like he is an actual paying guest), the food wonderful, the atmosphere relaxing and for my 1st taste of real pizza in actual Italy it was magical.
