The Palaces of Tripura are inviting. Built for the Royalty they are modelled on Indo-Saracenic architecture which drew elements from native Indo-Islamic and Indian architecture, and combined it with the Gothic revival and Neo-Classical styles favoured in Victorian Britain. The effect is unique. The scale of expenditure must have created a lot of pressure on the State coffers, but then royalty was royalty.
The Ujjayanta Palace, flanked by two lakes and a mogul type garden holds the pride of the Place. It was the residence of the Royalty. It is now a museum, fairly well curated. It was built in 1901 and was named by Tagore.

The temple situated in Udaipur is believed to be one of the holiest Hindu shrines. People as noticed mostly calls it Matabari. It was learnt that Sati's right foot fell here during Lord Shiva's Dance. The idol of Kali is worshiped at the temple of Tripura Sundari in the form of 'Soroshi'. This temple is also known as Kurma Pitha because it the temple premises resembles kurma i.e. tortoise.

The royal palace built by King Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya Bahadur of the erstwhile Kingdom of Tripura,India in the middle of the lake Rudrasagar is really attractive to anyone who visits Tripura. Though it is situated in Melaghar which is 53 kilometers away from the Agartala, the road is excellent and within a very short spell one can reach this place. The palace situated in the middle of a Lake assimilates Hindu and Muslim architectural styles. Out of two such water palace (lake palace) in India, the other one is the Jal Mahal in Rajasthan, this is much more attractive.

Heritage park is very much beautiful, situated in the heart of the city. Topography of the park is hilly like. Though the park is small in size but very well maintained. One can see different tourist attraction's of Tripura in model form. Stroll in the park is very much enjoyable. We can easily pass more than an hour time here.

Unique about this Kali temple is that deity of Goddess Kali, here is not in warring state but in calm form. One should visit this place. There is a lake in front of the temple, after which there is Bangladesh border. The greater place is called Kasba. During partition the entire locality of Kasba was acceded to Bangladesh, while only the temple remained in India. From the temple, Kasba railway station of Bangladesh Railways is visible.

Sipahijala Wildlife Sanctuary is a beautiful experience. You have wildlife, you have fantastic vegetation and the whole atmosphere is superb. The only thing I lacked was time. There was arrangement that I could stay inside the Sanctuary, see its varied fauna and flora at leisure but your time schedule make you let it go for another time which sometime never comes.
In the limited time we had we saw varieties of wildlife kept in enclosures, drove around the sanctuary and really wished to stay overnight and see its early morning charm. roaming around carelessly. Apart from other animals, the most interesting for me was bespectacled monkeys which look nice.
The number of butterflies and flowers in the sanctuary was amazing.

In this temple, fourteen Gods and Goddessess, together called the Chaturdasha Devata, are worshiped (these deities are ceremoniously worshiped during Kharchi Puja). It is the religious centre of aboriginal tribes of Tripura ( having Kokborok language). A good place to observe ethnic and tradtional/cultural diversity.
